What is more interesting is how he is a precious stone and gold miner ;-) and recently ordered infrared and ultra-violet satellite images of my houses property and a small river that runs near it. The images cost like $50, and the infrared he informed me, is done to look for gold, gold deposits will turn up as blue blotches and this area is loaded with it. There are probably several thousand ounces but what is more practical is to harvest the quartz that must exists in much greater abundance around the gold. He is considering staying here next...:-/

does the mining process he uses tear up the land much?

I am going to be leaving this house soon, finally, and just received a bunch of ''flash backs'' of how it has been. This happens often but I try and suppress it usually. It is stunning how sick I have been, and now my 'medical marijuana caregiver', who has Hodgkins, has recently started one of the meds i was on, Humira, and he thinks he might he have to quit now because he is getting so sick and had a negative reaction to another similar med.

I might go back there and kick around for some chunks of quartz before leaving here, but that river also is full of naturally occurring espouses !

Are you serious about this? That is so cool! I believe that gold is what fuels higher life forms spaceships and when the aliens come back for us they're going to need it and the people with the most gold are going to get first dibs. That's why humans subconsciously collect it and it's considered the best conductive metal and why we wear it on our bodies and cherish it. I also think it's why ancient cultures cherished it over many other metals.

I told my parents that story once a while ago and they were all like.... okay 8( I'm sure.

Overcast day...one of those days where I love to lay in bed with the window open and all the lights off and stare at the ceiling and contemplate :)

Overcast days are the worst for me. If I attempted to quietly contemplate while staring at a blank ceiling with an overcast sky looking in my window I think I'd freak out.

Kudos to you brah for being able to enjoy that.

haha

yeah I had no idea that was possible, strange to think that someone ordered the photographs and those were being taken while I was here hanging out.

Wasnt aware of that gold fueled UFO's...lol

What does concern me though is that we are now gutting up the Amazon for gold.
From 2007 until 2011 the percentages that made up the demand for gold was split into thirds:
33% Investments 12% Technology Jewelery 55%
source

Seems like a major waste, and now of the amazon? Thats like the life vein of the equator...

Of course gold fuels alien spaceships. What other fuel do you think they could mine out of planets that would have enough power to propel a spaceship light speeds through the universe. :p

Um... and how does that work, exactly?

I'm just kidding..this isn't the lounge :P.

BUT how does it not make sense if you really think about it. :\

Aloah supposidly means hello and good bye... makes a good point for if you spend too much time in the sun you dont know weather youre comin or goin:\
Oh fuck yes i love this lil fella:sus:

@stardust: how does it make any sense? I seriously don't get it. Gold is one of the most stable metallic elements, meaning that it doesn't really do much of anything unless you pound it with things that are far more reactive. This stability, and the fact that its yellow colour makes it easily identifiable, are reasons why it has been used as a coinage metal for pretty well all of human history. It has virtually no industrial value compared to other metals; its main value is that it is a coinage metal. It's not of any use in nuclear reactions either-- too light to fission, WAY too heavy to fuse. Perhaps aliens like shiny things too (see Cowboys vs. Aliens), but I really don't get how it would power anything.

It's massively conductive and is used in everything from audio cabling to space suits.

Of course it doesn't have industrial value on this planet we aren't super intelligent life forms. It's just a theory I have but it makes much sense to me seeing as like omen said it is a very conductive and stable compound that is used in todays smartest electronics and I find it strange that we cherish it so much. There are metals much more rare but we choose to worship gold.

Who would have thought that oil or coal could be used as fuel. I'm sure there are plenty other useful materials in the ground that could be used as more serious fuel. Perhaps fuel that burns slower so it can last longer distances. (IE: long trips through space)

I mean it's a crazy concept but I don't think if aliens existed they wouldn't be using oil as fuel so there has to be some other element they are using. I think gold has the most chance of being used. Especially seeing humans strange fascination with the metal. We are subconsciously collecting it.

The theory of aliens is a dodgy one at that so trying to get someone to believe in aliens and then also that aliens use gold as fuel. Good luck. :P I believe it though.
