I used to be all about dat tennis. Then I started losing my temper when people would beat me, and stopped just enjoying the game. My excuse was that I didn't have enough money to really enjoy the game since I couldn't afford to replace my racket, buy the right shoes, etc., but now I realize that none of that stuff is important. So maybe I'll start again.
My real hobby is getting people together to volunteer on business ideas. This is a fucking blast, and I highly recommend it to anyone. Right now my primary project is looking for a warehouse space that I can offer free art shows in for local artists and even college students who need a space for an assignment. So far, I have exactly enough people who believe in it to pay the rent. I am talking to someone who is leasing out the perfect space, but I have also looked at two other spaces in the last two weeks. One of my friends is an excellent photographer, and I plan on exhibiting her work first and then pitching the other artists who show up to possibly put up their work the next week, and the next, and so on. One by one.
Our idea is to bring people together and take advantage of unforeseen opportunities for money as they arise - the Facebook model.
