Just wondering if anyone on here with a dental implant has ever rolled on e? And has it had any negative effect on the implant or bone density?

I had a bone graft done 4 months ago, had the screw put in 3 weeks ago, and the abutment and crown will be placed in May/June.

However, Cosmic Gate will be playing in my town on the 5th of April, so i want to be peaking on the night:) But I don't want to lose any bone density around my implant. I've searched for information everywhere, but I can't find anything. So does anybody think that mdma could cause me to lose some bone density around my implant?

I'd appreciate any input, cheers!

I dont really see how it could... you should be fine if you keep it at a low dose, and dont do it often. As for your teeth, the gurn/grind could damage them if it gets really bad. I would take a magnesium supplement to help with that, and maybe pick up a pacifier or something you can chew on.

you ought to be fine, i second what folley says keep the doses low, and pick up a few packs of gum / a pacifier

Thanks for the advice guys....

And by low dose, 2-3 pills on the night should be fine? My other concern is if they're mixed with something like speed? Even if there is a little bit of speed, could it do any damage to my mouth?

I've only rolled once before, and i still have one left over from that day which i'll be taking for Cosmic Gate. Those pills gave me an initial rush of pure ecstasy, followed by a loved up feeling which just made me want to hug everyone, talk to everyone, tell all my secrets and a feeling of self-acceptance lol. Apart from the initial rush, i had no desire to dance whatsoever, hugging people was all i could think about lol. It only lasted 2-3 hours. So i think the pills i'll be dropping are mainly mdma???

ps, last time i rolled, i didn't experience any jaw clenching/ teeth grinding, but my jaw did feel a little warm and weak.

just take one and go from there, only you know how you react, use your best judgement

if you are grinding your teeth, dont take anymore

Yes, I agree that teeth grinding is your main problem. Trouble is I often don't realize I'm doing it, so I don't know about you. Keep the dose low and have something to chew on. A pacifier sounds like a better idea than gum.

I would avoid gum as this just encourages you to chew more - go with a tooth shield to avoid any gnashing / chewing.

You have nothing to worry about, being that far removed from surgery. The worst risk factors causing implant failure are heavy cigarette smoking and diabetes.

I don't even think grinding your teeth will be an issue as you most likely have a temporary crown attached to your implant right now (or no tooth at all) and if the forces are too much the crown will just come off. The cements used to attach temporary crown are not strong at all as they are made to be removed in the future. Wearing your bite splint that you have is always a great idea when rolling. Hope you have a good time!

You've put my mind at ease. And yeah, the temporary crown is attached to my bite splinter.

Now I can roll without being paranoid. I can't wait, thank you!!!
