It is a good point and I am talking it over with the other mods but the biggest concern is definitely anything linking a photo to a name, BL or otherwise. FT probably won't mind, you're right, but best to check :)
 
Not gonna shy away from the fact that I was the wrong-un who reported said pic for much the reasons I mentioned: Even if my bestest mate in the whole wide world posted a pic of me here without my consent s/he'd cease to be my bestest mate in the whole wide world in a flash. Snitchbitch or no it's a thing I know for damn sure would come between me and close friends so worth waiting for actual consent in my book. Especially as FT's not a big poster of pix unless I missed 'em.

That aside, must say that FT seems a top bloke from the brief time I spent chatting with him. Kinda clicked it seemed. Maybe just me tho. And have been godawful at keeping PM convos going :o

I don't have any photos of myself on the forum (not permanently anyway) so I definitely understand respecting privacy. I'll reinstate the pic tomorrow though if FT says it's okay :)
 
Have mixed feeling about reporting stuff tbh. But after spending some time on the other side of the fence I'd say it's generally for the best. Whatever the result of a report is it at least creates some kinda discussion (usually - and sometimes extensively so) and helps to clear up issues as well as making sure we all follow the good ol' BLUA to the letter at all times... like wot I do.

*ahem*

One side of me screams "GRASSSSSSS!!!!" t'other side mumbles "So fuckin' what - let the mods sort this shit out and keep my conscience clear whilst they're at it" ;)
 
Hehe I think that's a lot of the problem - drug users obviously dislike grasses! We'd get to things eventually I'm sure but it def makes our job easier if people let us know about stuff. I talk a lot of things over rather than just blindly reacting to reports :)

Anyway, lets see some more photos in here peeps (of yourself, or of others if I can see official signed permission.. ;) )

Thanks for being understanding on the supergrass front - always kinda awkward topic to bring up but ya can only go on gut instinct really... (and the Blessed BLUA, naturally ;)).

My no pix in publix policy mostly goes back to my early days here. Had certain... well... death threats and stuff hanging over me when I first became a regular poster so decided to combine both a high and low profile. Sort of... Policy stuck for maybe longer than it would have otherwise due to crippling shyness and hatred of being photographed.

Incidentally, aforementioned death threats had nowt to do with grassing (despite pictorial evidence above 8o) but a lot to to with close friends fucking up drug deals with Brummy Yardies - those fellas aren't so picky who they pick on and hold grudges longer than most folks could even remember. Gold teeth and handguns at the doorway were quite enough for me so exited sharpish... Pro-tip: If even very good friends give you large quantities of smack of dubious origin to look after it's probably best to politely refuse as a rule, I'd say ;)

I would now agree with the "haha" thang... less so when gun-toting yardies were in me kitchen wanting me and the then Mrs Shambles deader before teatime tho tbh. How the fuck that ended well for all concerned I genuinely have no idea. Must admit it did tickle me when the fella left to keep an eye on me and the missus whilst our mate went out with the other to somehow save our skinnyskinskins dropped the patois as soon as we offered him tea tho :D

PS: Mention of both paedos and heart-shaped glasses on one page? I sense a Lolita moment is afoot 8o
 
:D yeah probably not a "haha" moment at the time I imagine.. that's really funny about the patois. Did you all sit down for a nice cuppa together?

Ms Eff: That's one of the really odd things - they were really nice fellas for the most part. Aside from flashing guns and making very clear they weren't for show (we were all well aware that they were the same fellas responsible for many downright fuckin' obscenely extended torture/murders and stuff round Brum). Was an odd mix of outright bowelwobbling terror and high comedy at the sudden accent/attitude changes really. Tea really does sort way more things than you'd expect.
