TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

To me, makeup becomes a turnoff when it's put on so that a woman can feel normal. When it comes off as a necessity, a compulsion, an addiction. A false notion that reality is better under its protection. I do like it for dress-up and recreation, though (cyber-goth on women <3).

n3o: Good for you! From my perspective, no makeup = confidence. And besides, you look stellar without it!

So true mate, so true. I've been hiding under make-up since I was a teenager, and now that I'm slowly learning to love myself and with my new-found confidence that I'm gaining through therapy, I'm able to start weaning myself off make-up :) Today I'm going to uni and meeting new people in new classes so I'll have to wear some. Ya can't expect me to go cold turkey! =D But I might just wear the bare minimum: some concealer to hide a few spots, and some mascara.

Man, not sure if you've heard about our summer over here in Sydney....it just never arrived!! We had ONE day over 30C....very very odd for Sydney.

I'm not complaining in the slightest because I hate the heat! But I'm worried that winter is going to be equally as mild.....which will probably mean a shit snow season in the snowy mountains :(

Oh wow, one day over 30C.. i would say im envious but i know there's been alot of flooding on the east coast :( We had a week back in February that was 40C+ for 6 days straight.. was not fun. Yeah it seems like the summers are coming later each year and dragging into winter; which sucks.. snow is so much fun, i remember see'ing it for the first time when i was younger in NSW back in 2000 at selwyn snowfields after a blizzard lol.

I had a great day today. I even had coffee with a friend after uni, yep, without make-up on. Say whaaat?! =D
Afterwards I got in my car to drive home and looked in the rearview mirror and saw myself without make-up on and was like "What did you just DO?!". But realised that no-one else even cares if I wear make-up or not, except for me hahaha :D So I got over it :)

And wow....I have actually forgotten what 40C feels like to be honest. Yes indeed we have had a whoooole lotta flooding over this side!! Thankfully no-one I know has been affected but it's been very wide-spread.

Also, I've never been to Selwyn :) Was it nice? I've been to Thredbo 1,000,000,000 times and Perisher a few times, but none of the resorts in Victoria :)

N3o you look beautiful without makeup! I am so jealous you can pull of the light complexion with blonde hair. Not having makeup and the natural softness really adds to it. You are absolutely gorgeous!

I know what you mean when you say you have a compulsion to put it on even to step out the door. I remember I used to be just like that. I would feel so ugly if I didn't have time to put on makeup and had to spend my entire day feeling extra disgusting. I actually stopped using make up after a breakup (yes one of those teenage heart broken life is over breakups) and stopped doing my hair and makeup. I kinda ended up liking the look after a while and so I kept it. I'm so thankful I stopped being so obsessive about my hair and makeup. It makes getting ready and getting to work so easy. Sleeping in few :-D!
