Since new years day, ive had HPPD.. I am soo tired of it. I get so angry at my self and wish I could rewind back the time and not take the drug. Its fucked me up, and the most frighting part is reading how people have been stuck with it for YEARS.

My symptoms :-

- Extreme visual snow
- Massive trails of my hands/ any other object, even cars driving by
- objects looking bigger/smaller, and things looking 2d at times (however these occur when my condition worsens).

I was on seroquel 25mg for about one month, didnt really help my condition at all however, it did help with my obsessive behavior (I used to pull out my eyebrows when stressed). Now im on valium 2mg x3 a day.. mild improvement, however now im off it, need repeat prescription, I feel as if im thrown towards a depressive manic episode, only.. WITH fucking visuals to.. yes because thats what I needed.. Ill give valium another go then Clonazepam as apparently it makes the visuals go away (most people say that)..

What do you guys suggest? im honestly staying clear of drugs + alcohol from today, there is no way im going back to it like this or frankly ever. I just want this visual shit to go away.

You might need to take a look into some other anti-psychotics. Clonazepam worked really well for me, but since it's something you need to be treated for daily, after a while, clonazepam stops working, even at high doses. Well, I take that back. It would probably keep the visuals away, but after being on it so long, the levels of the metabolite(s), in your system, that clonazepam produces, gets to beyond a high point, and your doctor will take you off it.

If you can get on it, I reccomend not taking it every single day. You'll have to switch it up with something that isn't a benzo to keep tolerance at bay.

I have had HPPD for years. It hardly gets in the way of my day anymore, but it is certainly still there. You get used to it after a while if you don't let it get to you.

Dont say that man! pleas dont say that, I dont want it anymore im so sick and tired of it, im getting more used to it, but thats like giving up? there must be something than helps, how % does clonazepam reduce the visuals? does it make all of the static go away? and the trails? HELP, I feel guilty, depressed, paranoid, anxious I HATE MY SELF

Every patient is different. Whatever you do, don't develop an addiction to benzodiazepines in your attempt to treat your current condition. A benzo addiction is a real bitch.

It will pass. Abstain from drugs and psychedelics. Including smoking pot.

I agree I also have gotten it and it was from taking LSD but I actually enjoy it.
