I took 750 mg of Dimenhydrinate. Yes, i was careless. Shoudl have read about this more before. It was 1,5 month ago.

It didnt really took any effects. Maybe becaouse i drank glass of coffe along with it. So after 3 or 4 hours i got to bed. Lated that night woke up, breathing very shallow. Was this hypoventilation? Was i close to death from suffocating? It is possible that this sneap amnea epissodes will continue? Maybe thats because a day before i took 1mg of clonazepam?

And another question. Recently i red that dimenh. can damage my brain? I dont feel very different from time before taking this drug, but what about long term effects And what about liver damage?

Please, help me.
 
Did these side effects only occur a month ago then, or do you still get them?

Diphenydramine causes delirium at higher doses, so it can be hard to tell if it was just that fucking with your head, or if it was from respiratory depression. I very much doubt you had, or will continue to have, serious breathing problems though, it's most likely just a panic attack from the psychoactive effect.

If you only did it once, there's not gonna be any long-term damage, though I don't advice you to use this drug again, it's very unhealthy and not even particularly recreational.
 
No, there is no side effects, aside from this what you can call "paranoia" about mi health. Well, few days after taking this my mood was really down, but thats all, i had few nightmares, coudlnt concentrate as well as on my normal state, but it all come back to normal.

But im scared, scared as fuck about mu liver and mostly about brain. What if few years later i will start turning into retard? Was there ever such cases, of brain damage after taking my dose of dimenh.? And what abour liver (and kidney)?

Well, and it really torments me that i coudl suffocate on my bed. Was i really close to other side? What a patethic death. I doubt that my shallow breathing was just delirium, i didnt know that dimenh. can cause hipoventilation back then.

Oh and one more thing. Drugs, not only dimenh., but all of them - i think i will take some breake with taking them. Few days after dimenh. i had a dream. I was lying on my bed, in same position as i fall asleep. I stand up, and walked few footsteps from my bed. And than i was on my bed again. I coudl not walk away from this bed at all. I panicked, i made reality test and get a lucid dream. But it didnt stopped this telleporting to bed, as i tried escape from it. Was someone telling me that i was close to staying on this bed forever few days before?

Either way, OP - im not trying to be an ass but why would anyone take so much OTC med?

oh, i didnt noticed it earlier. you are right.

I think i shoudl tell something about effects. I said i did not have much of halucinassions, just rolling air. But there were also problems with short term memory (i keep forgetting what i was planning to do moment earlier) and dizzy vision. And when i closed my eyes sometimes i see something like white flashes. Ef course whan i woke up next morning it was all gone. Was it normal result of taking this drug?

Dimenhydrinate is just diphenydramine mixed with caffeine or something.
 
Is hydrinate lighter than dramine?

ive found this chart for dramine:

Light: 50 - 300 mg
Medium: 250 - 650 mg
Strong: 450 - 900 mg
Very Strong: 700 - 1400 mg
Dangerous: 1400+ mg

Dimenhydrinate dosages are roughly twice those of diphenhydramine dosages, as there are 29 mg of diphenhydramine per 50 mg of dimenhydrinate.


it means that my 750 of hydrinate is exual as 450 of dramine, right? medium dosage. Coudl be worse. but im still scared. i have read somewhere that it can cause dementia if elder people take it.

Oh well never mind. That chart was for hydrate not for dramine, mistake. So mdosage is in "strong" section.

What is causing any symptoms you currently have is the fact that you are worrying about them. You and I are similar in that way, I to am a hypochondriac.

Multiple times I have went to the ER at early hours in the morning because I believed I had something wrong with me that was going to be fatal. One time, I had the flu with a stiff neck which I've never had before. So low and behold, I google my symptoms and they fit perfectly for meningitis! Which is apparently very very deadly lol. So I go to the ER and blah blah blah 5 hours laters I'm sent home, I simply had the flu.

Another time I'd done about a half gram of coke, + drank the weekend before and had been having chest pain since. So again, I go the ER after 7 days cause I'm panicing thinking something is seriously wrong with my heart and I tell them I used cocaine a week before and have been having heart pain. I also did a cwe on codeine earlier that day which had caffeine in the pills (prob had about 500mg caffeine) so my heart was racing when I got their, apparently it was like 142 lol. So they do a bunch of test, including an EKG and other sh*t and apparently my heart is just fine... they they ask me if I'd be on any drugs THAT day, I just say no and they asked me if I had any caffeine and I'm like oh.... i drank a bunch of big cups of coffee earlier! (Lol)

anyways, they gave me a 1mg lorazepam, pinned it as anxiety, and low and behold it, my chest pain disappears after the relieve of hearing it is nothing >.<.

(and I then do blow the very next day, not 18 hours later cause it was new years :P)
 
Dimenhydrinate can cause all sortsa side effects, racing heart/shallow breathing being one, I put it more to the anxious nature of the trip than actual effects though if you continue to up the dose I would say differently.

DPH and DMH can cause HPPD like side effects rather quickly, sometimes even after a single trip, though it tends to fade off in the next few days. Prolonged use will cause the effects to stay a little longer of course.
 
I heard that Dimenhydrinate had a little bit nastier side effects (if you want to call them side effects).
But I might very well be wrong, just adding in-case.
 
Dysphoria is a noted feeling that's for sure.
I've heard people tell me, horror movies are scary right, why would you watch them?

Same thing relates with DMH, DPH.
They're scary and not very nice, but some people just love it.
And some people just crave being on any substance, and develop a taste for it.

It must be known that there are plateus for DPH.

There are definite notches with dosing I've seen, a slight difference can alter the trip greatly; also, it gets complicated with re-dosing as opposed to a single dose; some effects don't scale with the dose (some grow, some stay the same etc).
 
Jaurk, does Dysphoria stays long? Few days after taking DMh i have a days when in morning i felt euphoria and on evening i felt like shit. And it seems to repeats, but not with such strong intensity.
Are there reports of pernament personality changes (or even mental illness) after taking on dose fo DMH?

Also is it possible to have flashbacks after DMH?

guys its serious question now, answer quick please because im in kind of panic now. beforw taking dmh i had some breathing problems, lingt asthma maybe, probably allergic cause. and after dmh, not at ons but few weeks later breathing problems worsened. gui in link also reports something synilar. coudl it be that i worsened my asthma lke him?
and another question, does breathing problems make respiratory depression easier to occur?
 
Sounds like you have some intense anxiety man, I had that after having a Panic Attack on DPH.
Eventually I realized that my anxiety was causing most of the problems, I had most of the same problems that you're describing.

First step is to stop worrying, it's very hard though.

Longer term use can cause this, I'd say that you should be fine after a while, stay sober, avoid caffeine.

If you get very scared and you feel you need to go to the hospital, then I would recommened you go.
I was convinced for weeks that my heart was going to fail, it's been months and I'm an excellent long-distance runner still.
 
Jaurk you mean you had some breathbg peoblems too? because there is norhing about asthma in arricles you linked.
and i had worsened breathing BEFORE i thought that dmh can affect my asthma.

and some strange fact - breathing problems sometimes temporarly stopped after orgasm - does this mean that this is just case of my psychic - not actual damage?

and there is psychological aspect - is the fact that i have asthma made possible respiratory depression easier to occur while i was tripping? i'm not worried about brain damage or apnea anymore, its just the fact - was it possible to die after dose safe for non asthma users? thought that i was close to death is horryfing. die while occuring this horrible delirium. i think i migt get postraumatic stress disorder.

36 hours before taking these 750 of dmh, i took 1 mg of clonazepam.
Was it dangerous? Coudl it make sedation stronger?
