favorite trip toys?

Well, as I've FINALLY found a good source of psychedelics, I've been pondering the idea of 'trip toys', like glow sticks and the like. What are your go to toys when your tripping? The few trips I've took have been in front of my lava lamp, haven't been disappointed yet. I downloaded a visualization generator to replace WMP's visuals for my next mesc trip, I'll also plug my laptop into my tv and just let it cycle through some good playlists. And glow sticks on a rope.
 
I love when I'm listening to music on the xbox 360 and it has that screen where it has different colors....and you can control it with the controller. I also love glow sticks, that disco light that spins around colors throughout the room... Lava lamp as well.
 
glow stick on a rope. seriously, i was at a festival on a tiny bit of acid and one of those things kept me amused for hours! total fun surprise...

but then again, the concept of trip toys is a bit overrated, as a lot of things can seem really playful during trips.... never knew i liked doodling that much until you trip and start to draw a little something... quite fascinating...

Some of my all time favorite drawings were done on mesc, I felt like no matter how small a space i concentrated on, I could get every detail perfect...

baoding balls, juggling balls, that kind of stuff. i also enjoy lighting up some tea candles, but of course it's better to just look at them :D
 
A bath towel, when I would take psychedelics during the summer months I would always walk around with a bath towel (not wearing, over my shoulder), I found great comfort in it during some uncomfortable times. Also good for keeping away bugs and the sun. It was/is my power cape.
 
Another +1 for candles or other source of fire. Synthetic (computer-generated) trip toys are great but even the most expensive HD display is going to suck asshole when compared to the true high definition of real molecules dancing around in chaotic harmony. Of course keep your fire play safe, and don't try to spin poi on drugs unless you're already good at spinning them sober :)

And +1 million for the towel! Please tell me you've read H2G2 ? Remember that flying isn't very difficult-- you just have to throw yourself at the ground and miss!
 
Candles, incensce, body paint (or just paint in general), hula hoops, music...
For the most part now my trips are spent laying down, listing to music either looking at a candle flame or with my eyes closed in the dark :)
 
Great question! Lava lamp, the 10,000 Days album booklet by Tool, the Lateralus album booklet by Tool (artwork by Alex Grey), and artwork by Alex Grey, would all be my favourites.
 
I found a copy of "oh the places you'll go" by Dr. Suess that my mom gave me after graduation, Oh The Places I'll Go [with this book, ha]!
 
Anything brightly colored or even just being out in nature where there is a lot of greenery and very few people will always make it fun.
 
I'm an art student and I use my kneaded eraser sometimes just to mess around with in my hands while i'm tripping. I find that all of my movements tend to be very deliberate when i'm tripping in an odd way but its just fun to knead the eraser over and over because it's like the consistency of silly putty or something but its in eraser haha.
 
what about a black light? on DXM it didn't do much, and i was too happy on mesc to remember where i put it and now i finally found it, it's a big industrial hanging light thing but I took my blacklight bulb out so it wouldnt interfere with a project a few weeks ago. Anyway, does it add to the trip or would just having the BL on make your trip turn "dark"?


EDIT: has it made a trip turn good or bad for anyone?
