Festivals 2012

Got my Rockness ticket a few months ago for only £99 and I paid it up in installments, bargain! Possibly going to TITP as well seeing as all my mates will probably be going, it's went a bit downhill the past few years though.

Gives a shout round the time mate, will get a pint before the carnage ;) great festival like the vibe is good, location you couldn't really get better, just amazing for raving around smashed, really good for psyches had one of the best 2cb experiances ever a couple of years ago watching Prodigy at the main stage with the loch behind it %)

I'm thinkiing I really want to hit either I Love Techno again in october or Amsterdam Dance Event this year. Planning Rockness and TITP aswell. Possibly a trip to Amsterdam at the beginning of march, if not going to tag along to Timewarp with a few mates if I can.

Recommend this one for anyone looking for a Festival that has a much more chilled out atmosphere after their more mad ones. Some really great people head up to this one and it's family orientated for any child so long as they are wearing some tye dye. ;)

Thought I'd post this up as it's third year running now and have had the best festival times there, even though it's a lot more chilled. Most amazing thing is I didn't see one person who was extremely drunk at all, no drunken idiots falling over tents and no paralytic dicks rolling about the mud.

Still have to decide on the ones I'll be hitting for wipeouts and fractal madness though!

It's my 21st on the Friday of Rockness as well so it's certain to be a fucking mad weekend. I'll need to restrain myself a wee bit so I don't celebrate too much and end up in mess for the other 2 days. I've not actually been before but I heard nothing but great things about it and the last few line-ups have been well good. Last year at TITP is seemed like there were a lot more arseholes running about than the year before and a bit of a hostile atmosphere at times, still had a fantastic weekend though.

I Love Techno looks amazing but I'm not sure if my mates would be too keen on it. I've heard Exit festival is supposed to be good

Exit festival looks ace mate, I think crackheads been. A couple of my pals went to that aswell. I Love Techno it would be hard not being able to find something for everybody in the line up, here's last years (not as good as the year befores but..) http://www.ilovetechno.be/#/line-up. Excellent atmosphere in there, that 5 days in Belgium were probably some of the best days of my life lol.

Best way with maintaining the health is stay off the seratonin releasers for the first night anyway. After that saturday and sunday are usually just a clusterfuck. Staying awake the first night does take the edge off a bit I agree.

No Ibiza for me this year (I say that every winter and still end up going), so I might head over to Holland for Awakenings and combine that with a few days in Amsterdam. I keep missing out on Timewarp, its been on my to-do-list for years, so if I can find the cash I may try and get there finally.

And depending on lineups - Glade.

Ive been disappointed with the lineups for the last few years of I LOVE TECHNO. Id probably just stay in the Red room anyway but imo its turned into I LOVE ELECTRO EUROTECH. Did 3 years in a row a few years back but that was enough. Brilliant event though.

Went to Amsterdam Dance Event 2 years ago and it was unbelievable, if you can afford the highs and highs of Amsterdam its a crazy few days and have your pick of great clubs. Studio 80, Sugar Factory, Melkweg, Trouw.

Really want to go to Timewarp mannheim this year. Its easy to get to, great line ups and not half as expensive as the Dam

We stayed in Brussels, the pubs, bars and clubs there were ok. Lack of drugs though. Once we got to ILT there were plenty nice pills and coke.

Deffo reaching for Boomtown Fair this year.

Also wanna reach for Download. Never been and I'm not sure about the atmosphere but I gotta see 'tallica and black sabbath!

I'm gettin old and 8 years of festival's has me sick of them at this stage of my life :( Don't quote me on that though cause I'll probably be with ya @ NPLD come the summer Bogman!!!

il defo be at this one like. I missed it last year and i was ranging because the majority of my mates were at it. I think tickets are on sale already actually which is quite early!

Got SGP ticket, Boomtown probable and one of Tomorrowland/Hideout/Soundwave if I can afford it, which is doubtful.

bangface needs to be done this year! new site aswell, so i will be gettin my ass over for it! anyone else for BF?
wouldnt mind heading to life festival down south, then of course the usual local ones pigstock and the almighty sunflower fest, sunflower fest is one friendly festival, i sat with a bong at the dub tent and security didnt bat an eyelid, everywhere stank of green, the dub tent especially, not my fault

Got SGP and glade tix and getting burning man tickets in a few weeks....not fussed about boomtown again. BUT, i've always, always wanted to go to Dance Valley and i think this is the year. Anyone been before?

^ive been there. Venue is brilliant, and like all Dutch events its organised very well and the atmosphere is great. It depends what your into i suppose, but the music has gone rapidly downhill IMO, very very cheesy over the last few years. Im sure theres still lots of trance as the dutch love it. If your into Techno theres much better festivals like Awakenings in June, which takes place in the same place as Dance Valley.

DV got some bad press last year when that joker Steve Angello headlined the main stage and basically played a pre-recorded cd, pretended to mix his way through it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEKvo40sz1Q
