Levamisole and Lidocaine Being Added to Heroin Prior to Acetylation

No, but it does mean that whoever is manufacturing this heroin is pretty damn sloppy.

Also, I thought levamisole is used specifically as an adulterant for cocaine because it has similar physical properties? Any ideas why its being used to cut H?

interested in knowing how you found that page... I figured out how to look through the rest of the journal but it's trial and error.

Don't remember exactly how I came across that page. It was almost certainly through a Google search, though. Had been Googling things related to levamisole and chromatography.

Doesn't levamisole have anti-microbial properties? I think one hypothesis was that in addition to the reasons listed above, smugglers were adding it to drugs that were being shipped by sea, or being air-dropped into the ocean from planes to prevent the growth of bacteria/algae. Obviously just another wild guess but with the amount of smuggling taking place in semi-submersibles and boats it sorta makes sense.

Yes, it has both anti microbial and antibiotic properties. And now its all up in my heroin, damnit.

At least I possibly have lessened my risk of getting parasitic worms.....eh.
