^ for real lol...it sounds like he may have had some personal mushrooms and he sold weed. It is fairly common for weed to be stored in mason jars so the cops are obviously trying to sensationalize this like they sensationalize everything.

Well he was obviously growing them, but 3 grams isn't really a sellable quantity. And 7 ounces of weed isn't a lot either. Nothing in this kid's house even indicates he was selling anything.

How can you tell if something is packaged for sale? Did have a price on it? The bag I keep weed in and the bag somebody sells me weed in look the same. If I keep 3 types of weed in 3 bags, does that mean I'm selling it?

This isn't news.

It's fodder. It makes the bile climb out of my lower intestines and stick to the roof of my mouth like ivy clings to a building.

I'm all for the right to a free press, but where do we draw the line? How can we ban outright absurd and dangerous embellishment and misinformation? We barely have the resources to give adaquate healthcare to our elders and properly educate our youth.

I've long since abandoned any stake I'd once shared in the outcome of this hominid 'experiment', It's a pity I have to endure it until I die off of natural causes or take my own life. The latter is more my style. :|

Okay so he had spores...but he didn't have mushrooms growing. So it does raise some eyebrows...I just hate how in all drug cases, we are guilty until proven innocent, rather than the reverse.

It's just like how when they find a guy with like 500g or 1kg of mimosa bark trying to make a piddly few grams of DMT they call it a "DMT lab". Makes it sound like they're actually doing some "good" and busting big timers instead of just ruining some sole, isolated dude's life.

Why are so many media websites using Facebook commenting now? If I run into you on the street and we say a couple of things to each other, we don't preface the conversation with our first and last names. Why should we be forced to do that online?

That's less than an 8th... he had $1,000 and thats a crime? This is a MUSHROOM FACTORY? 3 grams? And a quarter? WTF IS THIS

Bearing in mind where I live, theres literally acres and acres of field that could be considered a 'mushroom factory'

What they gonna do? prosecute god?

so an 18year old KID has his life thrown into shambles over less that a pound of pot? LESS THAN A POUND! annual pot production is some few hundred or few thousands TONS annually. This KID is getting a record (he though it was hard finding a job before? pffft!) over less than a pound, fuck, less than a half a pound at that.

I hope whoever books him gets to read this.

You didn't make a single fucking difference for anyone except the kid.
You didn't prevent harm to anyone and you caused it to this kid.
I hope when your old an gray YOU get booked for smoking on MMJ.

This is retarded

Sounds like the kid got a bit over his head and wasnt safe about it and the cops blew it way out of proportion.
Less than an 8th and a half pound of herb? In some states thats just a slap on the wrists.

In all states, it should be less than a slap on the wrists. I got caught with a qp several months ago. It cost about 20 g's to get my life in order but I still got 1 year of probation. First offense but still...its the least harmful drug there is imo.

The kid had a few mushrooms growing in an aquarium and thats a "mushroom factory" in the eyes of law enforcement? Hahahahahahahahahahaha give me a fuckin break
