So you can stop worrying about what the postie thinks of you, lol!

I get on awesomely with everyone of my neighbours. just because it's necessary to do so. and I really really dislike some of them, but making enemies or wallowing in conflict in a relatively restricted community space just ends up making you a casualty of natural selection. But I take GREAT fucking pleasure in knowing that not more than one or two of them has a fucking clue who I am, or what I'm about.

I often leave junk mail, local leaflets and freebie papers on my doormat, untouched ... for days. on purpose. and I fucking LOVE that someone's perception of me will be [ridiculously] characterised by such. if I don't like or value someone, and have no intention of rectifying that because I know theyre pretty much a lost cause, or because they're obnoxious, then the less they know about me the better. and I fucking love that a house can look very dodgy from the outside, but be completely the opposite when you get invited in and can look around.

it also works as a great burglar deterrent <3

[edit] this is no doubt a symptom of projection due to having a Hyacinth Bouquet type mother.

Good morning eadd :) *said in chirpy voice*

Lashing wind and rain going on outside, waves like surfers-drugs on the beach, I'm nae going out. Crashed out on the sofa last night about 9pm n' slept for 12 hours. Making up for the previous nights lack of snooze then having to go into work yesterday with double vision, got near nothing done. Have had to bring paperwork home and I've got a week off too blah :!

Hope you're all well today <3

cherry, as a fellow crazy cat lady, i think i even admitted as such in this very thread just yesterday, i think you should go for it. it takes a long time to build up a decent relationship with a cat, and they are independent enough to still then not really give a shit about you, but i am totally besotted with my cat, shes probably better for me than any therapy ever will be.

when i first got her i thought i'd taken on too much- i had to get her spayed and she had to wear a collar to not pick her scab, she was so frightened and unhappy, but since she settled its been wonderful.

here are some pictures of her (wrong thread i know...):

Cats are crazy. I'm more of a dog person but like both due to being around them both a fair bit in different houses etc. There's a cat I know, who if your toking a spliff will (if you point it in that direction not forceably) will walk over and try to toke the spliff, not that I recommend it since this is HR and all that. But the cat actually enjoys getting stoned, it moves about a fair bit before, but once it gets stoned it just enjoys curling into a ball for four hours.
No one would ever do this on the cat forcefully, the cat will actually try and surround itself in bong smoke. Unavoidable but cool to see we aren't the only ones who enjoy some weed either.

Your kitty is adorable chinup - do you mind me asking what her name is?

All my cats have been keen tokers, they come looking for it...then chill with you all cushtie like %)

thanks kate- she's called maxwell, wanted to give her a physicists name and my fave female physicist (emmy noether) is too twee for a pet name. maxwell is a kind of cheeky name so it suits.

my cat doesn't seem to like smoke, she often leaves the room. did get worried about her recently, thought she might be suffering some cat cannabis psychosis (ridiculous i know...) but it turned out she just needed a worming tablet.

Cats and cannabis are associated with the same deity in Ancient Egyptian mythology, Bast. Make what you will of that. My personal belief is that some people who lived short and painful lives a very long time ago once made up some light hearted stories about cats to distract them from the brutality of being and had just got round to distributing the merchandise when stories about jackals became popular instead. Nobody would buy any of these cats, which had been manufactured on credit. The economy tanked and the civilisation collapsed into the desert. Had jackals been popular first the Ancient Egyptians would have probably survived as you can just knock the nose and half the ears off a jackal and it looks enough like a cat to Ahomet who's stressed as fuck at 9pm on Christmas Eve. World history could have been very different.

I'm getting bored shitless of stims. Gonna source some decent kratom, benign, friendly, relaxing and non compulsive i have found, one of the few. I know there are reports of people chugging 70 plus grams a day but i have found between 15 and 20 grams is fine with zero urge to re-dose.

RE; Pets, get a staffy, best dogs ever, but ALWAYS buy as a pup to lay the rules early. Born killing machines my arse, some silly cunt on radio 2 bleating on. Treat 'em right bring 'em up good lots o' love and they will love you back.

All dogs have the potential to be killing machines, like you said treat them with love and set some boundaries and they are lovely creatures! I love mine to bits it's my first dog and now I'd never be without one! German wire-haired pointer she is, last night I was lying on the sofa and she was lying up my chest with her head nestled in to my neck sleeping, it was gorgeous! Until she started dreaming and she barked right in my ear! Lol

I owe a few folks a PM, however my Internet is down, BL by mobile is painful, so apogies for those who I need to respond to.

8o8o What were the symptoms chinup?

My mum and Dad had 3 Dashunds when I was a kid. My infamous old man left a lump of red seal on his armchair. One of my dogs, probably thinking he was scoring chocky, ate it. It could have been between an eighth and a quarter and he was out of the game lolling about etc.
My Mum called a vet anonymously and told them what had happened. The vet suggested feeding him chocolate until he
was sick. Jasper ( the dog), clearly having the munchies at this time just kept eating rollos, buttons etc.

He recovered but a few weeks later, whilst sniffing around some building work, he managed to get an evo stick stuck to his nose.

I'm sure she knows somebody that could help her out and take it of her hands if it got too much. Maybe it's just what she needs, pets can be very therapeutic! Plus cats aren't that hard to look after really, it's not like a dog that needs walking everyday!

8o8o What were the symptoms chinup?

she was just behaving really weirdly. there were no obvious physical symptoms, she was constantly asking for food but we thought that might be because we're trying to reduce her intake- she's not supposed to gain any more weight and i'd prefer to stop her getting fat than put her on a diet- and being really demanding of attention. she also started squeaking quite a lot, which she never usually does. she was obviously very nervy all the time and was behaving quite manically. she was due a worming tablet so i gave it to her before resorting to the vets, and it sorted her straight out.

i find it quite odd that the online info mentions nothing about behaviour changes in relation to worms in cats, she can't have had them badly to lose no weight but from this limited experience its a big indicator!!

Chinup your kitty is gorgeous!!

Whn our cat had worms she used to drag her bum across the floor :|

My "potential killing machine" taken just now after a walk in the woods with the kids:-

He's 5 years old and never ever growled, I'm not sure he really knows what aggression is !

That's a lovely looking dog ATM, my dog is not aggressive at all either, she loves all people and other dogs! All I was saying is that dogs in the wrong hands can be nasty pieces of work!
