Man, I'm going to put you guys onto something that will KILL some time:

Hal's Hole in One Golf - SNES

Enter your name as "METAL PLAY" so that you get the good clubs. I am very good at this game still. I memorized the way the wind patterns affect the ball, and which direction to put the English on in any situation.

^ are you using an emulator? which one?

i was also dangerously addicted to this arcade game growing up - we had one in our student union and i had the keys so i could play for free :)

I use ZSNES. When you fix the graphics settings, let me know. Go for the highest resolution that your monitor can handle (and choose the one with a "DS" next to it). Also, change the graphics engine to the one that makes the letters look soft and bubbly. Go to sound, up the frequency to the max and also check off the boxes next to the stuff you think looks the coolest. Make sure auto frame rate is turned off and that the amount of frames to skip is set at 0.

I played way too many video games as a kid so I'll just post the ones that I spent most of my time on.

NES - Double Dragon II
NES - Megaman 3
NES - Super Mario 3
NES - Rivercity Ransom
SNES - Super Mario World
SNES - Chrono Trigger
SNES - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
SNES - Super Mario RPG
GENESIS - Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Sonic & Knuckles

Who else here thinks that they are THE BEST at Super Mario World?

I used to get people from my dorm to come in and watch me play. The people who knew, knew that what they were witnessing was just ridiculous. I make Mario style on a bad guy.

Super Mario Brothers on the original Nintendo.

The Sonic games on Genesis.

And, most importantly of all, the first Playstation era, where I spent a sizable portion of my childhood and have many of my fondest memories of Final Fantast VII and Grand Theft Auto. Aeries dying still brings a tear to my eye, and the freedom GTA presented changed my views on video games forever.

I know I grew up on a much greater variety of NES and Sega Genesis games, but FFVII and GTA are my fondest video game memories as a kid.

Atari 2600- pitfall

Atari 2600- Star Wars

NES- Mega Man 2 (the best IMO)

NES- Mario 1-3

NES- Marble Madness

NES- A boy and his blob

NES- Double Dragon 1-2

NES- River City Ransom

NES- Super Dodgeball

Sega Genesis - Xmen

Arcade/Home- MK 1&2, Killer Instinct, whatever fighter

Probably my favorite arcade fighter when I was a kid was Virtua Fighter

I'm sure I'll come up with more.
