Did you see the china man wid the women in the weed house, lol "shiny leaf" he say's. The guy who wrote it, is an irish guy who lived in hackney and researched it for 2 years going around interviewing ppl. Part 2 is on at 10pm tonight.

Caz, I've been following your situation here via your posts and I'd like to say I'm very happy this has turned out well for you; congratulations indeed. I know what its like to be convinced you're about to be banged up for quite a while and the bloody stress of it all is enough to turn your hair grey, so I hope you're able to relax now and that there hasn't been too much damage done what with the worry.

Scored last night, absolutely ace quality product and I have the chaps number from him. Its the same product I had mentioned in my post from two days ago; the stuff I scored from my first ever dealer. He said he'll be able to give me lay shortly if I need it, but for the moment he needs cash as he's just begun selling again and so he has to build up some cash customers first.

Today I scored three bags from my usual, which I got on lay until next monday. The quality is not as good as what I scored last night, but its definitely satisfactory and its also on lay, dropped to me wherever I am whenever I want (the majority of the tme) and all that good stuff so I'm rather happy this evening. I'll be spreading these out over the next couple of days though; I dont have the urge to binge on it and I cant afford to as I'm at my limit now as regards lay-ons so I'll just be using it to start and end the day, largely.

Hi Cazamac,I've also followed yr posts regarding yr court case. So pleased for you & yr family, great result for you. Hope u manage to keep off the gear so they have no excuse to punish you.
Regarding the gear situation in my Cambs town its still a choice of powder or really hard rock. But both types aren't up to much, they hold you but I can't get any type of buzz from either.
Probably gonna try to give it a break again for a bit to see if improves over time.
Pleased for all u lucky buggers who are getting quality gear,just waiting for some to hit this bloody town.

Im so eager to find out now what the gear is like outside of my crib, the activity of this thread seems to indicate it was worser last week than this week, so a definate positive. If some have not had luck last couple of days i would say try again next couple of days.

Helloooo all!!! :) Has anyone read the blog 'Memories Of A Heroinhead'? I started reading it a bit at the start of the drought, but my head was in too much of a mess to concentrate on reading anything!

But i got stuck into it this week & I think its a brilliant blog! Its is so well written, its a shame that the guy (Shane) who wrote it is not published yet! He is a very talented writer, he is brutally honest in everything he writes. When he talks about heroin drought or withdrawals i can feel everything he describes, its like just reading it is going through it yourself! He also describes people so well that he has met through heroin use, everyone from the mean & violent to the sly opportunist type. He describes them so well, its like your living through it all with him. I find that i can also identify with so many of the situations that he gets him self into.

I reckon most people on here would really enjoy Shane's blog, i'm sure many of yous have already read it, the guy has had a extremely eventful life! Well worth a read!!! Go'wan, get stuck in!!! XXX :)

Yeah shane is a fantastic writer , his blogs one of my favourit's.
Have you had a look at pigpen's blog he's in the American heroin thread (I still can't put up links) but it's just as good as shane's. Well worth a look.
 
@Ructions I've been reading 'memoirs of a heroinhead' for a couple of years now and sent and received a few emails from Shane.
It is by far the best blog of any type that I have ever read. Some of his older posts about when he was still living in London are just simply amazing.His style of writing is really something amazing,so descriptive and honest.
He has certainly lived one hell of a life and writes about it all so intelligently.
I would definetly recommend that everyone should give it a look.
Some publisher should really get it put into print.
 
Did the same guy post on 'The Junky Underground' or was that someone completely different? He does write very well indeed and is remarkably short on self-pity. Glad he's made a life for himself in France; with his early memories, a lot of people would have rolled over and died. It's a shame mainstream publishers believe the 'heroin memoirs' market is saturated.

I've been following Shanes blog that you mentioned above for about two years, I love it :) I posted about it in the Herion Discussion thread during the drought actually as I knew some folk here would be interested in reading it. He's a fantastic writer who has a wonderful way with words and the blog has some very raw and interesting stories around Heroin and Crack addiction. He's originally from London but resides in Lyon, France these days, and I just have to highly advise you all to take a look at it.

I haven't given it a proper look in a couple of months now at this stage but if I can get my iPhone working now in a few minutes I think I'll venture a gander tonight in bed as there are still some posts I haven't looked at yet together with whatever updates have occurred since my last reading. Its written so well that I find it quite easy to become immersed in the many tales he talks of, which is always a treat - especially if I'm enduring a cold turkey cluck.

Again - highly advised. In fact, I recall I added his profile on the Junky Underground at the end of last year - a very nice chap altogether, seems very decent indeed. Interesting fact about shane: his father was murdered by the British serial killer Dennis Nielson :(


@Strungout2010: Hey pal, is there any chance you could PM me the link to this blog? I adore reading any accounts of drug (especially opiate) addiction I can find and I'm very interested in giving this a read.
I wonder why you cant post links...I thought that privilege was available once you hit Bluelighter status.

I've noticed a PM from you here in my inbox that I've just noticed now so I'll reply to that tomorrow. I forget if you're still using or not, but when you dont hear from users for any amount of time one does tend to think the worst if they're mainliners. As sad as that is, the last time I hadnt seen one of my user friends in a few weeks, I found out one weekend in a chance meeting with a mutual mate of ours that the poor guy died of an over dose a month before hand. Less than 20mins later I was standing at his grave - felt like someone just danced all over my face :/

A fair point I suppose, but by commenting back you're only perpetuating the chances of an argument actually flaring up.
What do you study in college by the way? I was studying journalism for a few years there until the economy went all arseways over here.
I'm hoping to go back next September but the prospects of employment are looking very fucking grim right now :\
 
I'm studying film & media course, with option to do summer placements in 2nd and 3rd year at somewhere like BBC or Granada. Currently waiting on a reply from someone at Granada in Manchester to see if I can get some part-time work there to get my foot in there before i've even finished my course. It's a fairly hard industry to get into, so may even have to just do some volunteer/free work there, then work your way up.
