Basically, I am stepping down as I have a lot of real life things that I need to sort out and I can't devote the time to bluelight that I need to, and I can't be on the site as it is triggering for me to use drugs and I am trying to stop my drug usage. Long story short, we need a new moderator.

Anyone interested in becoming a new BDD moderator, send in an application to me, effie, NeighbourhoodThreat, disposition, and amapola.

In your app include -

* your drug of choice
* region you live in - basic biographical data
* why you're interested
* why you believe you'll be a good fit
* any relevant experience/education
* how much time you can dedicate to the position
* any other relevant information about you
* a little bit about who you are
* your favourite film



Right now the deadline is Saturday, Nov. 5th at 5pm Eastern U.S. time. However this may be extended, but get those apps in soon!

so you're all probably curious as to why we'd spend our free time moderating an internet forum, a thankless job for nothing, right? there's a lot of self satisfaction that comes with helping people and the forming of bonds through the threads we all help each other in; i wouldn't still be here modding after nearly 3 years of modding if i didn't enjoy it.

it's not all self gratification though unfortunately. in the role of moderator you're expected to help uphold the BLUA and BDD rules within threads; this means unapproving inappropriate posts, closing resolved threads, moving misguided threads to the appropriate forum, etc (any questions on what else please do ask). staff also have their own discussion thread to keep communication lines open between each other discussing forum business to maintain a healthy forum. there's also a forum dedicated for staff communication; it's dedicated to social and business discussion.

so a quick summary of what the job involves - helping maintain a tidy forum enforcing the rules, giving your input in regards to guidance and business matters behind the scene and being shiny happy person in regards to forum posts because we're a happy bunch around here, apparently.

i probably didn't really help sell the position there but what keeps me here is the lovely regulars, gratification from helping others as well as the added responsibility of running the forum, keeping it as welcoming and informative place as possible.
 
^ And I am in it. Not sure if that will help or hurt persuading anyone though....
 
Haha the staff nudie thread is pretty awesome..

I love modding, as do most people who become moderators.. I've just taken on a second forum, so it can't be that bad! ;)

As well as the general good feeling you get from helping out and spreading the HR message, I love the community aspect and have made some really good friends since I started. I've also learnt loads while trying to answer queries on here - it gets you a lot more involved in things and expands your drugs-knowledge hugely, which has got to be a good thing, right? Always fun to know more than your friends ;)

Plus, team BDD is the most awesome team in the whole of BL (and BL's the most awesome forum on the internet). Fact.

Plusplus, you get to close threads and hit people with your modstick (otherwise known as infracting) if they step out of line. What more could you want? :D

I'm looking forward to reading some good apps from you guys! :)
 
This would have been something I definitively would have pursued and would have love to taken on until yesterday. It's a shame as it was something I was going to ask about prior to even reading this an seeing you are stepping down. Best of luck to you mugz, keep it touch. As for who takes over this position, hopefully they will be warm heart, just, fair, and understanding, an not just understanding, but understanding that for everything that occurs there are two sides to every issue that need to be pursued. I have a feeling that there are a lot of cook candidates out there, best of luck to you. Mugz you'll be missed. Are you stepping down fro mod'ing or from the site as well? BOL!
 
How could you forget the prostitutes? We also accept prostitutes.

I can't be bribed with prostitutes I'm afraid, but drugs/money is all good. Or that pair of shoes I posted in the social a while back..
 
everyone knows that there aren't any women on the internet so you'd be more than likely getting the better end of the deal with the sexual favours, effie.

i must have been all caught up with the midget porn to remember the prostitutes.
 
I will include 1 (one) brand new codpiece for the lucky male/ or female applicant who becomes the new BDD moderator, and one mix tape, which may or may not have been given to me by my ex. It works well with the cod-piece. Bowie, anyone?

Oh yeah, if we're talking sexual favours from the applicant rather than hired prostitutes then I'm probably onto a winner.

Haha I think we're probably freaking out any potential applicants right now, although I kinda do want your mixtape mu.. you can keep the codpiece though ;)
 
they wouldn't really be classified as prostitutes either as they're not going to be getting paid for their job, hence the sexual favours.

the piece hasn't even been washed either, that's what makes it irresistible and wirth a fortune. i mean, muvo's own codpiece and mix tape he's produced. we're gods among men we moderators.
