what was your experience like and would you recommend it? it has been a drug that ive been debating about trying for 2 years now. just be a bit cautious
Yeah the times I tried it, it was hard for me to say for what reason I was actually doing it. A pure experiment into the unknown and mystical I guess, but I always found Salvia a thousand times more confusing and disturbing and twisted than DMT, which doesn't mean DMT is any less intense... I do see Salvia as something profound and potentially worthwhile but I have got a feeling that smoking is not the way to go for that and you would have to investigate the quid or tincture RoA.
Basically I did not feel like I was getting that much out of my Salvia trips because I simply could not understand even the tiniest bit of the language so to speak. With DMT, its incomprehensible but more in a way like a civilization is ages more advanced than ours, only spiritually.
On the other hand I have gotten into very interesting meditative states with it, but I have not sought after Salvia experiences for more than a handful of times.
We have a thread on this, expect them to be merged. And please next time find them yourself using the Psychedelic Index, advanced Search and read the Beginners FAQ of PD!
Tripping into oblivion is fun, like breakthrough dmt, but salvia, completely destroys my sense of being to where there is no judjement. I can't even speculate on the non-judjemental part its just so intense. How can I enjoy when there is no I, and how can I encorporate extreme salvia feelings into real life, or better yet, encorporate emotion into my salvia trips?
Just observe
. i've never tried salvia, but am somewhat apprehensive since it's a disassociative and i had one bad experience once with some robo.
Salvia and it's kappa opioid activity is not at all comparable to NMDA antagonists (well DXM is also active at sigma receptors and some other stuff too). This is the problem of people calling them both dissociatives...it's like throwing alcohol and heroin together in a class 'cause they are downers without acknowledging that there's a difference between GABAergics and opiates.
