Been listening to some long, slow songs tonight... Some more user friendly than others. For anyone with a bit of time on their hands this evening...

Slint - Good Morning Captain Fantastic - if you can make it to the 6m40s mark it is worth it... But if you are in a fragile state of mind you may start smashing up your room at this point...

Galaxie 500 - Don't Let Our Youth Go To Waste

...too late I already did...

Felt - The Stagnant Pool

Can't wait to see Lawrence of Belgravia...

Posted this in EADD earlier. Which got me reminiscing about my favourite LOOOOONG songs. Sometimes a song needs seven minutes plus to really stretch out and make itself heard...

Other favourites include the deathless Television - Marquee Moon

The unforgettable David Bowie - Station to Station

And the beautiful... Sigur Ros - Svefn-G-Englar

Any others...?

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterly a psyhedelic masterpiece of instrumental exploration pretty heavy riffed too in its own ways ;) and Light My Fire by The Doors.

Kraftwerk: Autobahn

I was reminded of this by your post, pekeceT. Used to get to hear this ever Friday night on my college's radio station played by my good friend. Also did alot of drugs off the soundboard.

Maggot Brain is indeed amazing, as is Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow.

Dan, usually in an epic, stuff happens...:p
