if anyone decides to breeze in and give it a slating [esp you MSB ;p], I think it might possibly make me rant expletives at my monitor in a very unsavoury and unladylike northern fashion. hoe yes. my susceptibility to being trolled hard by faking naysayers is making me feel vulnerable by crickey ;p

After having enough Amitriptyline to have me feeling tired, but not doing, seemingly I'll be awake for a while tonight, so after this cheesey-as-fuck Jean-Claude Van Damme film I'm gunna be on it like Shakespeare on a sonnet.

I'm glad there's a S5 bcos i never want it to end, but i'd rather it ended at this level of goodness, than wittle on to a half-assed demise. so S5 better be good and not ruin the memory for me

I'd honestly be happy if it ended with this last episode. when the writers/network were deliberating and arguing about episode numbers for S5 [to have 6 or 13], it was apparently touch and go whether S5 would go ahead at all, so I'd be surprised if this S4's finale wasn't written with the possibility of S5 not existing

Breaking Bad?

The more people mention it, the less likely I am to bother. I rarely watch TV anway these days unless I'm at somebody else's house because it generally does my head in.

I've been through this kind of episode with my friends and The Wire, amongst numerous other things. I swear it's not through any pose or sense of superiority over those who watch it. Not even hatred of anything popular, just sheer inexplicable perversity.

I'm just a weird bastard. I'll probably watch the repeats in twenty years, in some dingy, hopeless, lonely bedsit; all red-faced, stinking of cheap booze, swollen-livered and bearing the burden of a million regrets.

Chances are I may even say you were all right too. :)

I think you need to add an "in my opinion" to this post! Plenty of people really enjoy gbl and mxe, you act like your word is gospel!
 
What a horror of a day!

From the very first line that post was a bit sarcastic. That said you can't exactly say GBL has many positive cases emerge from it. No great realisation, experiance or euphoria. Just a list of casualties.

MXE I guess some people find brilliant. I seem to just find it more confusing, less fun and less of a worthwhile experiance than ketamine.

Crackhead where did you download it? I'm dying to see the new Breaking Bad, season 3 was amazing!

Off to court this morning on a personal charge....:\
 
I'm just tucking into series 2 of Breaking Bad. Definitely hooked but I'm finding it startlingly realistic in some respects and a bit wacky in others. The dialogue is great, the characters are broadly credible. The diagnosis and resultant family situation is handled extremely well and methinks by someone with experience of this process. There is a lot there which rings true from my own experience of the impact of that disease on a family. I feel slightly as though Walter's transformation into a bit of a psycho has come too quickly and that he makes irrational decisions which place him in fantastical situations... but then again it wouldn't be so watchable if he behaved like a normal person.

So I like it a lot and I will doubtless watch the rest unless they take it somewhere stupid later. It doesn't touch me like The Wire did but it's extremely good. No spoilers pls.

Jesus, everybody's watching it! It definitely must be the work of The Man, and therefore avoided. I'll just stick to Al-Jazeera with the sound turned down.

Does nobody have sex, take drugs, fall in love (or all three) on a Monday evening anymore? Even wank a little?

Admittedly it's probably a lot more fun for most people than torturing yourself with sad music while staring at the wall, drinking tramp juice and being taunted by the parts of your psyche you'd rather didn't exist, but give it a whirl... ;)
 
Hey, don't worry, I did in a bottle of red, lots of spliffs and had a wank on Monday night. After I'd watched five episodes of BB back to back.

I think at least part of the appeal is that while watching it I can luxuriate in constantly thinking of drugs because they're so central to the plot. If I'm doing other things I often feel guilty that I keep veering off the subject in hand to think about substances.

Great justification there. Can't argue with that. :)

Just don't apply the same logic to any perversions you may have, at least outside the presence of the willing and understanding. I learned the hard way.

Morning EADD, I feel like absolute crap, fucking cold. Felt appalling yesterday and not sure how I made it through till 6; being asked to do a load of tedious shit today and am questioning my ability not to jump out of a window to escape today now!

Told you, the more people hype it (even people whose opinions I respect), the less chance there is I'll watch it. I have attention span issues when it comes to film and television anyway. Plus, I have a perversity which attracts me towards things that people either neglect or outright hate. I own GG Allin records, you know? ;)

Glad to see you're soldiering on despite the cold anyway! The gold star would be in the post had I not spent the price of a stamp on scraping together the price of a second tin of kidney-rot.

I've been touting Breaking Bad hard lately, so there's no chance I would slate it even for the trollolololol, it's just too important for that! That was without a doubt one of the best episodes of any show, or even films, I have ever watched in my life! I might even watch it again just because it was so amazing. That show is more addictive and quality than any drug i've ever tried.

How the fuck are they going to do another season? Only Breaking Bad would make the final shot in such an epic season a panoramic of a plant!!!


The first episode of Dexter had a very 'meh' quality to it, but episode 2 gets into it a little more and I feel like there is more potential for this season than the last. I find MOS's character very intriguing and already I want to know more about him. I also watched the '6 days to air' special of South Park which was good to watch; For instance I didn't know that Matt and Trey dressed like women to go to the oscars, and decided to take it up a notch by dropping some acid LOL.
