@HeWho: I'm not sure. We celebrate a lot of the same ones as Americans, but often call it something different. Our Rememberance Day is your Veteran's Day (11 November), for example.

Since Thanksgiving is basically a harvest festival, it just makes sense to have it earlier in northern clime, as our harvest is a lot earlier than down south.

A friend who is in a band has asked me if I wanted to sing for them before, I love the idea of doing it but I'm just too scared!! He's now posted on facebook saying that they still need a singer...I SO BADLY want to do it!! I just have NO self esteem though and it kills me. It could be so much fun, and I could be really good, but I'm just too scared
...and that makes me sad.

but not once have I ever seen one ridiculed for it...
never have I seen anyone not respect you for attempting to tame the stage...

there is absolutely nothing to worry about once you see this experience in retrospect, no matter how good or bad it was.
I wish you the fiery strength and motivation that you already have in you to radiate forth...
