Benzos etizolam as a hypnotic

Well I'll keep it short…..

My doctors won't script me anything for insomnia (I get two nights of sleep per week, sleep 2 nights up for 5 days straight) as they have tried everything I guess they're willing to give me (strongest combination I got was 1000mg chloral hydrate with 30 mg temazepam which just made me get very excitable and angry) and now have just decided to say that's all we're doing. I tell them I'm a total basket case now and have suicidal idealization but it's no use they won't give me anything.

As of late I've been using two points of down approx. twice a week to keep me from going off the deep end and keep the physical strain put on my body from all this lack of sleep at bay. I'm a recovering down addict and I don't like where this is heading and I'd hate to fall into addiction again. Mind you the down doesn't make me sleepy, it just makes me feel normal.

So I now I'm at the point where I'm going to buy chems off the internet to try and help my insomnia. That brings me to my question in any ones experience here is etizolam a good hypnotic? Or would I be better off getting chloral hydrate powder? Or do any of the Qualuud analogues make better hypnotics?

I'm really at my wits ends here, I'm about ready to take the next point of down I get and iv it (when I do down I usually smoke or snort it and I have a low tolerance) and end this torturous life of mine. This has been going on for over a year, please help me :(

Etiz wasn't particularly helpful for sleep for me, but trying it out would be a better choice than suicide. It's safer than chloral hydrate by a long shot, but from what I've read they both have issues with tolerance developing quickly.

I'm assuming down is an opiate/opioid, oxymorphone or cheap heroin or something? Try kratom instead. Red vein strains knock me out pretty good, and it's safer than street opiates.

I hope you feel better, dude. I remember my days of sleeping a few times a week, that shit is soul crushing.

In such a case I would switch doctors, but if it's not possible for you to proceed with this there is still the possibilty (I hope) to ask your doctor for a referral to a psychiatrist or neurologist. Trust me those guys and gals enjoy writing prescriptions. Those scripts are usually valid for 3 to 6 months, allowing your GP to familiaze him/her with the specialist's instructions regarding your treatment. Doing this covers your GP's ass with DEA should they opt to audit the clinic.

Dunno if etizolam will do the trick, most people seem to prefer it as a daytime tranx, me included. Has stronger muscle relaxant properties than diazepam, almost similar to temazepam's but without the hypnotic poperties of the latter. When it comes to deep sleep temazepam is one of the rare benzos packing enough punch to make a man fall asleep in his tracks, just like quick-acting barbiturates did several decades ago.

Speaking of sleep, chloral hydrate is stronger than any of the drugs you mention in your post except for temazepam. If you didn't get any sleep out of it then I suspect there was something wrong with the drug. CH's shelf life is not very long so most hospitals and pharmacies store in refrigeration but who's to say how your supplier dealt with it. Maybe he simply wasn't aware of the storage requirements for this drug and degradation was the result.

Etaqualone is a variant of methaqualone (Quaalude) that produces very similar effect. Long ago in the 1980's I was prescribed Quaalude (never was banned in Canada) for a whole year (God bless psychiatrists) so I have only empirical experience to offer you

I'll put simple: I felt no major difference between etaqualone and methaqualone aka Quaalude. Both are reasonably and equally effcient at inducing sleep but it remains a superficial sleep with little or no dreams, and lasting rarely more than 2 to 3 hours. At least it tastes good!

Try diclazepam. It's pretty hypnotic, and sedating. Plus you won't have to worry about an eye twitch from it like etizolam.

Doxylamine Succinate. It deserves more credit than it is given IMO.
It's OTC, sedating, and not really any dependency issues with it like addiction.

Worth a shot before getting yourself addicted or partially to benzos.

Its not a good idea to start on RC benzos to help put yourself to sleep, because the risks far outweigh the benefits. Addictions and W/Ds of these things and the horrific nature of each are only a google search away.

You must try every single thing possible. Have you tried daily exercise to tired yourself out? A good bedtine routine? A second opinion from a doctor? OTC sleep aids like Calms? OTC antihistamines? Sleeping tablets from the second doctor?

Tried all otc sleep aids, tricyclic anti depressants, and anti-psychotics. I get about 3-4 hours of exercise per day, I have a sleep ritual when I try to go to sleep and have seen my gp and my psychiatrist.

I'm seeing my psychologist on wednesday to see if he can recommend a doctor I can see who will be a bit more liberal with sleep aids.

Last night I got a good sleep (7am-3pm heh so not really a "good" night time sleep) so hopefully the next few days I'll be a bit more sane.

If temazepam and chloral hydrate didn't work I'm not sure what other sedative would tbh. Seeing a sleep therapist might help (or not).

I don't know what the most potent hypnotic benzo available from doctors is, triazolam or nitrazepam maybe?

Barbiturates are probably out of the question for insomnia these days.

Maybe brotizolam.

(nevermind, that's a benzodiazepine analogue, not to mention it's not available in many places including the USA)

I found that midazolam helps me sleep when I take a moderate dose. But my gp won't script me it for some reason. Is it hard to get a script for it in Canada or something?

Nothing else works and he won't give it to you? He sounds like an asshole. Get a new doctor?

Yea I found it kind of weird she wouldn't script me it, she's usually pretty liberal with scripting. Anyways instead of opening a new thread I want to ask if anyone has any experience with Flubromazepam or Diclazepam?

Pretty surprised that temazepam didn't work. I found that lower doses like 15mg did nothing but after enough it certainly knocked me out. Even knocked me out when I took my first vyvanse script at like 3 in the afternoon. Etizolam did seem to help keep me asleep longer but did nothing to make me drowsy, unless your insomnia is caused by stress.

I really have no clue whats causing my insomnia, I'm not stressed or thinking about things so I don't think thats it.

I'll be trying the etizolam for the first time tomorrow probably. I've got crazy insomnia too so I'll let u know how it works for me. Everyone's different but it'll be my first time taking it so it'll probably have somewhat similar effects on first timers...

Please do tell how it goes with etizolam. I really wanna stop using dope and if I can use a benzo that'd be way more preferable seeing as I have a ton of experience with them and know what w/d's are like from them and all that.

I definitely will! I know how shitty it is to not sleep for days, it's enough to drive anyone mad... I hope It works good, it should arrive in the afternoon and I'll post soon after... That would be awesome if you didn't need dope to sleep, that's gotta be a nightmare. I take oxycodone and it helps a lot but when I run out(2weeks lol) I'm pretty fucked. I just got some kratom for the first time last week and it worked pretty good. The strain I got is supposed to be more sedative than speedy and it gives u a body "high" that's pretty damn relaxing, I passed out in an hr. I mean you don't get high per-se but it's kinda like 4mg Xanax with a few Tylenol 3s, it did the job though. Kratom seems like a decent way to kick opiates too, at least to ween down from high doses anyway... Gonna go dose up, I'll post tomorrow if/when my etizolam comes in... Fingers crossed :)

Can't wait for you to post your experience with etizolam! Yea the dope doesn't even put me to bed, it just keeps me sane after a few nights of no sleep, I try to use it as sparingly as possible as I really don't want to get addicted again (Just kicked a 4 year addiction to heroin and a 2.5 year addiction to methadone/suboxone two and a half months ago).

Etizolam is a relatively strong hypnotic, though not up to triazolam, nitrazepam or flunitrazepam levels.

If a high dose of etizolam doesn't work I'd seriously recommend getting professional help for your insomnia (which sounds very severe).
