The Drug Culture Video/Documentary Thread

Vanguard: "The oxycontin express"

Basically about the rise in use of prescription meds, mainly in Florida. I thought it was very interesting. Criminal doctors prescibing over 1500 pills in less than two months etc. It's from 2009 though.

I'll just add the description:

Florida has become a pill popper’s paradise and the main source of an illicit prescription drug pipeline. Lax laws and little oversight have led to a booming number of storefront pain management clinics that liberally dispense potent narcotics.

The OxyContin Express features intimate access with pill addicts, prisoners and law enforcement as each struggles with a lethal national epidemic.

Corration Street story line: Ryan is using Cocaine

In the UK we have ITV channl and theres a soap called Corration Street. Basically a young lad started on Cocaine now, it was in pub his mum found him in the toilet doing lines.

Now it's funny everyone is drinking alcohol and they look at him like a disgrase, his mum calls the cops "my son is taking drugs" - it's a stupid story line and she has a REAL son and was on some show saying "oh my kids have drugs and WONT ever touch them"

I did not know it was illegal to take cocaine providing he was NOT in poscesson of it.

I love the show personally watched it sinec I was a kid if you're out of the UK and wanna watchthis months episodes.

What gets me is the hate on someone using drugs let it;s often they get pissed, wasted on booze.

Mate if I wrote the story I would get Lloyd to catch Ryan at his desk and go over and say "go on giz a bit" and he's like "you're stuff is weak mate", infact try this "pulls out needle and looks for heroin" - you wanna be into drugs, don't you?? so C'mon C'MON, everyone shoots - LYE down (Ryan is scared and they do lines together. Dev Alalhan used to but pops 3x 80OC, and pharm amph (both script). Vic was his name? YEAAARS ago?? he was into the lines but gotcught.

IN honestly addict over night............... maybe it's been on for awhile hence when he was cocky in UNDERWORLD withthe girls and wanted to SUE THEM FOR MONEY.

This is a video by a guy on YouTube who may or may not be in the psychiatric field (although I think he might?)... he has tons of videos that are interesting but this one is especially interesting because it explains the correlation of opioids and the treatment of depression... Supposedly a drug company is developing a pill that will be marketed as an antidepressant containing Buprenorphine and a chemical which blocks all mu-activity of Buprenorphine... thought I'd share, it was interesting to me... :p

I found it very intriguing to see kinda how there drug culture works over there and felt brutally sad for all the harsh consequences China imposes on drug users

I love the 8-bit aesthetic style of the video. As for the content, it feels like one of freakiest dissociate hole trips imaginable. I haven't specifically experienced a hole this frightening, but there are moments that touch on the general 'alien abduction' strangeness of it.

cool youtube of Phil Anselmo (most would know from Pantera) talking about dope days.

tell me this doesnt sound like a "normal" day to some of us at one point in our lives.

although, he talking about blasting 2 bags and getting a nod. you'd think the guy w/ millions would be blasting a lot more than 2 bags. I am assuming his tolerance was much higher than what he talks about here but who knows.

check it out and just listen; for those who have been there in the past its funny/interesting just to hear. you can relate. well, maybe not to the whole blasting away 2 bags unless your a newbie, but the idea behind it all is something we've all been through/done.
