Which is your favourite: HBO Series

I would have enjoyed Flight of the Condors a lot more if I was unaware that Tenacious D ever existed.
While strictly on its own merit, I guess FotC is an alright show. It's just that The D beat them to it by about 10 years.

BTW, Arrested Developement should not be on that list. Not an HBO show. Perhaps it should be replaced by Tales From The Crypt.

FoTC formed in 1998 and released their first album in 2002. Which is slightly after Ten D's first album, but they were playing those songs before the Ten D album came out. (btw, their standup is better than the show, IMO).

The D had a show on HBO in 1999. Only 6 episodes though. But it was very VERY similar in style to FotC.

I really liked OZ...of course I was an adolescent growing up gay, so perhaps I just liked the homosexual undertones so deeply en grained within the show...

Sex and the City, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Flight of the Conchords.

All AMAZING shows, but if I had to narrow it down...I'd with Curb and then Flight of the Conchords.

Didn't realise that -was only aware of the albums. Remember, we don't get HBO here, though (we get some of the shows - Sopranos of course, Wire now (finally), Oz buried at late night.

I'm not trying to diss the D, just suggesting that they independently developed their acts rather than one ripping the other off.

yeah its a gritty crime drama, but the characters are amazing. great people.
