What's your favorite trip playlist?

Fellow Om/Sleep/High on Fire fan here. Om is definitely the best option for psychedelics.

Almost always end up coming back to sigur ros. These guys are simply on another level.

mineral - the complete collection has been the soundtrack to many trips for me. it is just so emotional, takes me deep inside myself everytime

blackmil is good too. I like a lot of dubstep and whatnot, especially with mxe. When it comes time to crawl in bed and explore the inner/outer recesses of my mind, i end up with some type of "emo" on though.

also

penfold - "amatuers and professionals"

Hey guys first time post.

Honestly I can't stand any kind of electro/techno type of shit and I'm not into any kind of trance or w/e. But I do like some of the stereotypical artists/music -
Marley, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who, Sgt Pepper, Sublime. Not a huge Grateful Dead fan but they're cool.

LIVE.LOVE.A$AP- A$AP Rocky
Cypress Hill; Illusions
Acid Rap- Chance the Rapper; Brain Cells
Ab-Soul; Pineal Gland, Gone Insane
Flatbush ZOMBiES; SCOSA, MRAZ, Don't Do Drugs Kids
Ellie Goulding
McKenzie Eddie
The Underachievers
Outkast; Spodiodiedopalicious
Childish Gambino; Zealots of Stockholm
George Clinton and the Parliament
Gorillaz
JMSN
J Dilla
The Weeknd; High for This

Stereotypical, sure, but I'd never actually listened to Dark Side of the Moon or Are You Experienced while on psychedelics until last week. It was AMAZING.

And Their Refinement of the Decline by Stars of the Lid just treated me very nicely on MXE.

Also, people here who enjoy Dark Side of the Moon should really listen to its rasta counterpart Dub Side of the Moon sometime.
Normally I hate modern covers of classics, but dear God, that's the best Floyd cover I've ever heard! The Dark Side of the Moon was meant to be dubbed some day! Much better than the sub-par Flaming Lips cover...

on anything very powerful or a high dosage, I become very sensible and prefer ambient or smooth idm over everything else.

but, for ++ experiences, I will like all sort of things.

Proem- socially inept

kettel- when can, volleyed iron, my dogan, ect.

the cure-disintegration

Bvdub

dinosaur jr- I make a list of favorite. All his smooth song touch my soul directly on a psychadelic. something about this guy that I just cant get enough.

miles davis- especially his 73 band. most impressive and special to have ever been. on the corner and all the unrealesed sessions are a must

secede

coltrane- anything between 61 to 64. I will prefer all his smooth songs like: welcome, psalm, the alum ballads, africa, naima, love, the album crescent. I find the combination of elvin jones and coltrane out of this fucking world on a psy. he really touch me profundly.

I tend to listen to those. I used to love are you shpongle, but I grew out of it.

but honestly, most of the time, I either listen to kettel, proem or dinosaur jr. thats all the music I really need on a psy.

Hip-hop! I especially enjoy southern rap and chopped & screwed tracks when I'm tripping - something with a lot of bass.

This is a very special release from Ken and Judy Lee. It serves as a
commemoration of Mark Cohens' 2nd anniversary in heaven.
Mark was a great friend, and a big part of the Dead community. And it
is to him that this project is dedicated, and to whom we owe a huge
debt of gratitude. If not for Marks love of music, and love of this
band in particular, we would never had known about the Lees' Port
Chester archive. Outside of a few other brave souls known to have taped
shows at this fantastic venue, Ken and Judys' work from the Capitol
Theatre stands as the ultimate body of documentation. And if not for
Marks insistance that these shows be "liberated", much of what has
previously circulated would never had been heard, and this show was one
of his favorites.
This show is a keystone of the Grateful Dead, one of those shows that
really makes you wonder, and gives you pause. A show of firsts and
lasts, and when it was all said and done, had laid to rest some old
lexicons, and created a whole new set of criteria by which the band
would be judged. Truly one of the legendary Grateful Dead shows. The
Dead had a way of continually redefining themselves, in terms of
performance, and this show buries the sixties and propels them into the
seventies. (Much like the benchmark show at Lewiston, Maine 9-6-80
redifined them for the Eighties)
This is the last official acoustic set of the 70's. Besides an improptu
set in 1978, most of the songs performed acoustically would not see the
light of day again untill the fall of 1980, when they were showcased at
the 10 night run at the Warfield in San Francisco, and 8 nights at NY's
Radio City Music Hall. The final "Operator", and "Wake Up Little
Suzie", Mystery Train> My Babe (only time played), New Orleans>
Searchin', Main Ten (last time played), all standout in this
performance, and then like a dream, are gone. Around and Around (first
time played), and a long stretch before you hear "Baby Blue" again.
This release also includes the complete New Riders set, known to
circulate only as a fragment.

Technical Notes: The original audience master cassettes (4 Ampex
C361-90) were recorded on a Sony TC124 with unknown dynamic mics,
spread approx. 25-30 ft. across the balcony, by Ken & Judy Lee,. The
cassette tape was baked and re-shelled, then transfered via Tascam 122
MK-III > Lucid ADA1000 > Tascam DA30-II (DAT) > Tascam CDRW 700 (CDR)
by John Jay Hance. Editing By Peter G. via Soundforge. No noise
reduction was applied. Audio extraction and further editing via Peak
4.0, compressed to .shn with xACT 1.3, and seeded by BoldCaptain via
Azureus 2.1.
Tape flutter in Baby Blue, and in Truckin'. Tape flip in Dancin' In The
Streets was was seemlessly pieced together.
Yet another reMARKable recording by Ken & Judy Lee.
Enjoy!
.

A Special Thank You goes out to:
Peter G, Bold Captain, Lisa Biasi, Anne Cohen, Joe Jupille,
Torbjorn Olofsson, Jim Parzych,Rich Brunjes(yubah).

*NRPS = New Riders of the Purple Sage. A band with members of the Grateful Dead.

LOL at people blasting off to skrilex......hahahaha. that music is so terrible, especially for tripping. dont understand why people wanna listen to RAGE FACE WOMP WOMP when dealing with a chemical that has such a serious mission with humanity as a whole. that being said this is what I listen to:

PURE SILENCE ;)
Grateful Dead Live 1970-1977 any show is breathtaking, especially on LSD.
The Doors
Explosions in the Sky (the earth is not a cold dead place is the album ive had a +4 too)
Miles Davis (Bitches brew Dark Magus...anything live 1968-1974)
Herbie Hancock (Headhunters, Thrust.)
Captain Beefheart (for the twisted)
Lettuce
Moe.
Galactic
Chester Watson (album Tin Wooki, abstract poetic rap)
The Contortionist (If your into heavier progressive music. Album name is Language.)
The Aristocrats (absolutely insane musically)
Mooncake (post rock ambience music)
Budos Band (jazz funk)
Kung Fu (fast funk)

I could go on and on. Also if any of you have the time check out my own conscious hip hop :)

You guys need to step it up. I myself always have the following bands going
>OM
>Velvet Underground
>13th Floor Elevators
>Butthole Surfers
>Iggy Pop
>FIDLAR
>Captain Beefheart
>Black Bug
>The Doors
>Electric Wizard
>The Talking Heads
People tell me I listen to cool music, then they proceed to not listen to it. I get so confused.
