I think the most realistic hallucinations I've had were from ibogaine. As far as open-eye visuals, I had better ones from a lower than flood dose of ibogaine that I took 6 days after I took my flood dose. Nothing was bending or warping; instead, it was as if an interactive overlay sprouted in my vision. I would move my arms, and multiple solid and white or black (some were white, some black) copies of my arm's shape would curl out with slightly different paths than my arm had actually taken. My body was partially covered by grids of floating black dots (that 100% looked like real objects), which would move to where the greatest concentration of heat was and in flying over there would move like those flocks of birds or schools of fish that move as a unit and it looks all geometrical and crazy. If I bent my arm, the dots would move from the rest of my arm and swarm to my elbow. The dots on the other side of my body were unaffected, and the ones on my chest were slightly pulled, the same way gravity behaves. When I peed, the dots from my whole body began to converge more and more rapidly towards that area as it got closer to coming out, and then when it did come out the dots, which had been pulsating in a large chaotic cloud, burst out with an almost palpable force and followed the stream down. I became convinced that the shamans use these dots to do their healing, physical or spiritual. They could detect heat points in the body at the very least. Meanwhile, all around me in the semi-darkness, a jungle quickly grew out of the walls, floor, and ceiling, it would disappear when I'd move my gaze but quickly grow every time my gaze rested. It looked completely real, like I was in the same room but a jungle literally grew out of the boundaries of that room. It even included small animals that would run between my feet or under the tub. Also, clouds of colored smoke that looked exactly like real smoke were floating through the air. I kept trying to smell them to see if there really was smoke. Also, on the flood dose, after the first 12 hours when I have my first memory of any kind, I was awakened by my sitter checking on me, and I looked around the room before I closed my eyes again. It looked like my visual display, or reality, was cracked into chunks all through my vision, and through those cracked was pulsing a violent pink electricity, which also made this really intense and powerful buzzing sound and physical vibration. And when I turned my head, my entire field of vision erupted into super thin beams of brilliant white light that extended far off to my right, and when my gaze would rest again, those beams would quickly come back from the right, settle into pinpoints of color, and with an intense whooshing sound and feeling, my vision would re-solidify.
As far as full hallucinations, strong doses of ibogaine (my follow-up trip was 350mg and my flood dose was 1100mg, the flood dose was much stronger in this way but the 350mg dose was also very strong in this way), I basically experienced very lucid dreaming whether asleep or awake, not lucid in the sense that I knew I was dreaming, but lucid in the sense that I was completely solidly there with continuous memory. I experienced these dreams and was utterly transported, it was my new reality. I had hundreds of these dreams interspersed with becoming lucid in real life for brief times. Strongest I've ever been transported, and the hallucination is complete because I was having some far-out dreams, some of which were amazing to experience, and they were 100% convincing as reality. In one, I even woke up as a child in my childhood bedroom, reeling, and then I shook off the dream, and thought, what a crazy dream! I have always had this thought, especially as a kid, that what if I wake up suddenly and I'm like 10 years old, or 6 years old, and I had just dreamed 20-25 years of life, and I shake it off and just go on as a kid. I actually briefly experienced that on ibogaine.
