Just a reminder everyone. If you're wanting to share your band's music, there is a thread designated for that already.

^^That was an interesting listen to say the least :) Liked it a lot. That album cover made me give it a listen.

Glad you liked it. The album is definitely worth getting your hands on. It's full of lush 60's girl group inspired goodness. :)

Lia Ices - "Daphne"

This lady has an amazing voice, and the tempo change around 2:50 gives me chills every time I hear it.

Geographer - "Original Sin"

Kind of an electro-pop song. Personally, I think this album is perfect for tripping.

Ramona Falls - "Melectric"

Another song that just screams "Holy shit I wish I had some acid, this would take me straight to Jupiter"

Grails - "All the colors of the Dark"

I'm a big post-rock fan, and these guys really know how to provide ambiance. But when those wailing guitars and gongs kick in around :50, I wanna jump up and fuck some shit up!

It's almost a sin to lump Grails into the "post rock" margins. They are much much more. Psychedelic rock would even be more fitting.

I guess that's fair. I just use post-rock to describe any sort of subdued, psychedelic/ambient type music. Although, I don't think there's anything wrong being lumped into the same category as Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor, or Slint. Grails definitely seems more dramatic than most other conventional post-rock groups, though.
