but wait - i have some really cool pics i should share with you - there was a flock of peafowl living in my neighborhood when i first moved here in 2016....some time later, somebody had them removed around 2018 or 2019....but i still hear one hollering every morning til this day - and it's the male matin call....so they're still around.....what i heard from a neighbor was that there was a guy who moved out sometime in the 80s who had kept peahens and peacocks - and he died and some of them got out - so there's a bunch peafowl running around here now....but anyway - i of course became friends with them by feeding them sunflower seeds....the male was especially my friend - like it started out he used to run away from me if i got within 20 feet of him, and before you know it, i was sneaking up behind him and pulling his tail feathers, just to mess with him and then i'd feed him and he was here all the time and we ended by BFFs - the famales were always here too and they had babies - i was sad to see them go....but anyway here's some pics - and most of them are from my deck and my driveway or a neighbors driveway

That's awesome. You were very lucky to have that. I absolutely adore the sound of peacocks, takes me to a place.

I wanted to post some Lemur pic's soo bad . . . . but they always run away to fast, but the worst part is that I only see one like every 13 and a half years.

We have been recently seeing them though. And they are scary !!!! But mostly just fast !!!! Amaze a balls. I recently had three of them running along side my car, across the road, and in front of my car. The dog was just like . . .Huh. But I couldn't boot the phone fast enough. They swing from the trees too and they stretch out to about eight to ten feet.

They are soo fast !!!!! OMG.

Well poison em with pufferfish. They're quite clever though, so probably wouldn't fall for it. But then you'd end up with cool pufferfish pets. OR get mako sharks or larger! Racoon proof. OR sit by your pond with an air rifle/BB gun like a gnome. I'll happily do it for board and lodgings or a stipend.

I thought there were loads of great pics this round. I had to pick that supercute fluffly squirrel with some kind of treat in its oversized hands as my fave tho <3

All critters are so adorable to me that it's almost impossible to choose. I have two "pet" bunnies in my backyard that chase each other around in circles, and it never fails to make me laugh.

Alright, this round will close in an hour! Looks like we have a winner, and his name rhymes with benevolent. But you never know, a lot can happen in an hour. :devilish:

That's so cool. :) A Burn I go to most every year is held on land that is a peacock farm for the rest of the year. I absolutely love the sound of their calls. I haven't managed to make friends with any of them, but I have seen a male showing off to a lady. They're such beautiful birds.

Hmm... not that I'm aware of. You can subscribe to threads, but the new contest is always a new thread. I think you'll just have to check in. I'll be starting the new one shortly.

Mal, I love the idea of "Morning" :)
