Television True Blood

The trailer for the next season is up on HBO and it is AMAZING! Has anyone read all the books that are based off this series? They are also amazing!

I haven't seen any of Season 3 yet but plan to go down to a friends house and catch up on the first half of the season later in July....... (I'm poor folk and don't have HBO)

I'm about half way through the second season and loving it! I thought the first season started a little weakly but it's certainly been improving. Funny to see so much love for Eric in this thread, he's one of my favourite characters too =D
 
Season 3 has been alright so far. War will definitely be happening pretty soon I would think!
 
snoop dogg's ode to sookie has convinced me to start watching this show, plus i need some new tv to get into since i refilled my rx and there's gonna be plenty of me laying on the couch in a stupor. 27 episodes... average 3 per day. ill be back in a lil over a week or so =) /me sings oh sookie

*season 1 done, i like it. thoughts... cool characters, glad to find out its not all serious like i literally lol every episode. fun watching how sookie the innocent southern belle reacts to situations, the actress owns that role like im sure she won some awards already if not there is no justice in the world. anywho back to the couch and onto season 2... yeeeehaww.

**season 2 dididdly done. jason stackhouse really got his shine on. dude is for sure my fav character. i thought it got a lil too far out there but i guess that's to be expected when dealing wit friggin vampires, shapeshifters n' what not. fun ass show to watch.

*** im surprised this thread isn't more active... anywho sookie's makeover to blend in at the werewolf bar = hot. lol when she turned down the shot then thought twice to better fit in " i mean FUCK YEA!!!" rofl love that chick.

True Blood is great but freaky at times, and soft porn at times hahahahahahaha.
 
JoeTS- Doesn't it seem like in season 3 so far they are dumbing Jason down even more? I mean, its hilarious, but at the end of Season 2 I thought he was growing more......ah well.

I found a website to watch the episodes online b/c I'm too poor to have HBO :)
Hopefully all goes well with that tonight.
 
also love this show, & do not consider it such "light" entertainment in a certain way--there is a way of wrapping in bits of issues like race, nationality, and US history (primarily via Bill as civil war vet) that seems pretty resonant to me. i thought season 2's plot was pretty interesting, and by the end I find myself pretty emotionally caught up in it--there is a dreamlike inevitability to it that seems almost psychedelic--eg, the way Sookie finds herself at the center of her house all of a sudden, and the egg appears, and then Lafayette has been "turned" again and has black eyes--yikes!!

i won't give away the climactic scene of Season 2 but I found it pretty emotional: "*I* was the sacrifice? There is no god?" yikes!!!! i was kind of blown away.

i have also wanted to bear Lizzy Caplan's children since she was in The Class; almost cried when her stomach burst open with little monsters in Cloverfield; and I'll be hornswaggled if I ever expected to watch her having naked sex while tripping on vampire psychedelics. i may be ruined for another woman permanently. she is very lucky isn't she

i felt the same way. i haven't read the books, but i'm not sure they can have finished with such a promising character that quickly...

Wasn't a fan of anything vampire until last year when I caught a few episodes of True Blood. Godric got me hooked really. So yeah, I can't wait until Monday when I can get the latest episode. Kind of annoyed with the werewolves this season, but whatever.

Somebody mentioned how Bill says Sookie's name - I cracked up in the episode where Sookie imitates Bill saying her name. Too funny...
 
Poor Jason, dim but with a body like that Who cares.

Just saw him in June glamour mag (us edition) in a fashion photo shoot. OMG could he look any hotter...
 
^YEah, and the fact that Jason in real life has a full on Aussie accent was shocking. He does his Louisiana accent so well. He's a good actor......
I did read the books to the person who mentioned Godrkc in the books...... Eric's maker didn't show up until like book 9 or 10 and his name was not Godric......

I <3ed Godric......but I've seen he will be showing up in flashbacks.....not the same but better than nothing.

But Pam, Lafayette and Eric are my favs......I think I said this before :)
 
Lafayette is fab, really makes me laugh, do people like that exist in real life?!??!??!?!? I wanna have a "Lafayette" friend!
