Tramadol

Go easy on the alcohol - that's a dangerous combo, especially if you don't have tolerance.
thank you for the advice SamhainGrim, i will take it easy on the alcohol. But i'm felling really GREAT!
So peaceful and relaxed. I deserve this moment. couldn't keep living without this kind of experiences once and a while.

Yeah I def woudn't take another 500mg.. Go steady on that mix, downers plus other downers plus yet more can be really dangerous. Codeine and tramadol aren't super-strong opiates but that kinda lulls people into a false sense of security sometimes, throwing in a lot of alcohol and benzos might be a bit too much..

Sorry to sound preachy, don't mean to :) Although mixing small amounts of those together can be lush, it really can be a deadly combination. Stay safe :)

edit: haha sam beat me to it!
Thank you alot EFFIE, ill keep your advice im mind. By playing safe with my brain and my drugs.

Haha no probs. It's always hard giving advice about stuff like that, cos of course people mix opaites, booze and benzos. Has caught a lot of people unawares though, really is best to be cautious :)

edit: glad you're feeling good, doesn't sound like you need anything extra anyway! :)

i'm on 500 mgs of tramadol and will ingest in few minutes 300mgs of pure codeine fosfate.
How much time you think i should wait from one drug to the other?
Please help.

The minimum =D

I'm not a fan of tramadol, I've never actually got a proper hit off it and I'd say I've taken a fair amount of it. It just tends to make me really itchy in comparison to more potent opiates.

I've never even taken it - the OD tramadol is pretty good for a legal high tho

Old thread but I searched for something vaguely appropriate.

So, I'm 5 days off tramadol after 12 months of taking about 400mgs a day, everyday.

I haven't had any wds except for hot/cold flushes and a foul mood that only lasted from day 2-4. I had a couple of codeine a day to help.

Have I been really lucky? Loads of people say how awful tramadol wd is and it put me off quitting for ages. I'm annoyed I listened in a way tbh.

Anyway, it feels great to feel excited and happy after so long of feeling dreamy and lazy :D <3

Quick question: Can I mix I.V. tramadol with 3-FMC (also i.v.)?

I know this is an old post but a guy in rehab had a massive seizure after iving tramadol. It. Would make much more sense to iv ODT if that's what you wanted but then I'd say just go for a proper opiate. Adding 3fmc to the mix is just asking for trouble.

I am another one that never got much off tramadol. Not a pleasant high anyway, much prefer codeine.

I've been on tramadol on and off a few times, about a similar dosage, and I got zilch out of it. Wasn't a decent painkiller, and I got none of these good anti-depressant benefits others have mentioned. I stopped straight away after my scripts ended, and didn't notice any side effects either. But for some reason I don't normally seem to suffer much with SE from any substance, cept maybe when I've been doing one stim for a fairly long period and then stop immediately. Depression for a little while but that's about it.

I don't even get hangovers very often, but my alcoholic intake has been reduced dramatically of late anyway.

Despise em myself n fair shout to you Miss GoS i've heard the WDs are nasty .

Marmz always good to hear that folk are reducing there Alcohol intake nice one .

Tramadol sucks iv got boxes n boxes of them! My mates gf was stupid with drugs, she had a seizure after taking a silly dose and a few months ago her parents found her 'brown bread' in her bed at home. She was 20....
She was stupid though! Recently found out there was 100 empty tramadol and 4 big jars of other various stuff she had nicked from Lloyds pharmacy!

scary stuff. Im down to 3 a day from about 15 and each step down has been hellish. Feeling a lot healthier though and the twitchy leg has gone ha.

Lost about 3 and half stone getting off prescription drugs. Tramadol can make you obese, twitchy and unbelievably bunged up people. Just say no. :)

Sorry to hear that mate, what an age

speaking of Tramadol, i literally know fuck all about it. apart from frankie boyle naming a programe "Tramadol nights" or some shit

tramadol isnt pretty. its also only effective pain relief for some, and doctors dont usually know this so they tend to overprescribe it...

I know!! Poisonous and nearly as rank and ugly as crack or alchohol. Ok it doesnt leave a person red nosed, irrational, moody, argumentative, yellow eyed and liverish looking but you can have a siezure on it man.

it scares me that some GP doctors dont even know that tramadol is dangerous in combination with SSRIs. One doctor was gonna prescribe it to one of my face book friends. I know you cant expect them to know everything about everything, as they arent specialists, but surely they should check for contra-indications. This combo gets a big red NO NO NO.

It also annoys me that my GP has a big ref book on drugs thats about 10 years old. For fucks sake they earn over £100,000 a year, they really should keep more up to date and get the new editions of these reference books. There's so many new drugs that have come out in the last ten years, not to mention all the research developments and studies. No wonder she asked me "how do you spell Etizolam?" :! *Zombie roar.

Now Im off SSRIs I can start dabbling with a box of Tramadol that Ive had gathering dust for a couple of years. It really has a very very low opiate receptor affinity doesnt it ? I read that its metabolite - odt - was something like 200 times more potent at binding to opiate receptors. Ive taken 4 pills over the course of today and cant say that i feel anything at all. It just made me drowsy at one point. Although I did take speed yesterday and Im normally grumpy as fuck on the day after that, but have been OK today.

Im just trying it for the reported anti depressant effects, i know that my Bupe will block whatever minute amount of opiods that may be in the Tramadol from getting to the Opiate receptors. I might let the box gather more dust until Im off Bupe and then try again. By all accounts that Ive read it's pretty shit, though the anti depressant effects are good for some, and i hate wasting/throwing away anything, especially drugs.

After some shit ive read about docs i dont trust em to to be as knowledgeable as i thought they are. i always research into everything so info from google is always in my mind

hats off to them for the amount of stuff they have to know though. crazy amount. a lot of people on here would make good docs i reckon, well good docs on drugs and stuff

Yeah most people on here know much more about recreational drugs at least than GPs do. GPs havent even heard of 'research chemicals' IME. We are all drugs geeks, I think Shambles was the first person i read mentioning that, and it's definately true. I know a lot about all the substances I take thanks to this forum and the knowledgeable people that post in it.
