Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

I got a ton of this shit and gabapetine (almost same shit) in my closet, it does nothing for me at any dose either drug, snorting gabapentine is not a bad high to me that's all these are good for. They are for nerve pain and eplilepsy.
Have you tried Pregabalin on top of opiates as that really does give an enjoyable high but i imagine it's only going to work if kept to occasional usage

it takes two weeks for either of these drugs to work for nerve pain or epilepsy, drs have been trying to put me on both these fucken drugs for years........I hate em. I have snorted gaba with coke and it was good. when you snort gaba its a short short high. most jails have banned inmates from getting gaba in jail cuz its basically jailhouse coke.

I don't like them either, absolutly bunk in comparison to all other drugs I was addicted to ... but the Lyrica was helping with nerve pain.... I'm experiencing some quite debilitating pain ... From spinal complications. That's why I needed opiates in the first place... Finding it very difficult to do a simple job in the day for work. I've been downing caffeine which helps but hurts. Cocaine was my former DOC.

Although, maybe it's post complicated pain from using ... and I just need to wait it out. I may request a script for Lyrica if this doesn't pass, til I see a spine specialist again.

Btw, I wish I knew I could have snorted the capsules, then. I just learned something. That would have helped with acute withdrawal
Thanks!

you can snort pregablin, but gabapentine is a better rush, short rush........

If you've been using it for a long time and in large doses it's like a combined benzo/opiate withdrawal, darling, and can last as long as 10 days.

To cope I'd use (aside from benzos and opiates):

L-theanine, Valerian, Hops, Magnesium, Kratom.

Good Luck.

Sheer hell on Earth.

P.S. The Head psychiatrist in my city says Neurontin is very dangerous and worse than Lyrica (even if it's much weaker).

Something to think about, he's very smart.

no way, Gabapentin (Neurontin) is a safe as it comes. It by far is the weakest and safest epilipic drug there is. It is barley used for epilepsy anymore and more of a nerve pain drug. its side effects profile is small and it is tolerated very well by almost all who take it. I can tell you this from talking with so many neurologists and epileptologists over the last 20 years.

You need to read around here at bl about how safe gabapentin is for some folks. I've never been on it, except for a two week period in the hospital and was taken off due to it causing my right leg to swell. But there are people here who have experienced withdrawal symptoms from it's use. Lyrica can also cause withdrawal, and I am on this drug. It has proven to be an excellent medication for the burning I have from neuropathy, and does not take two weeks to begin working. I began to get relief on the second day I was taking it and have continued getting relief for the past two years.

There is so much debate regarding these 2 drugs. I don't like Gabapentin (at least in large doses), as I feel drunk and don't care for liquor. When I took it before, I didn't have much w/drawal in comparison to what Lyrica might do, and what I experienced with it briefly. I preferred Lyrica verses the Gabapentin.

The drug did help with some pain… but if I have to take it again … I hope to stick to a low dose.
I took it though for detox. I wonder how it would effect my system when I reach homeostasis. I just got a health plan rolling now and unsure what they cover. Whichever is the newer drug will probably not be the covered one… haha!

lyrica myrical. It kicked adderalls stupid ass

8olet me talk about this stuff while I'm on it. I've been on an adderall binge for over two weeks now. I was in the darkest area I've ever been in my life today. I have never felt such hell, pain and suffering and despair like I was feeling today and the past couple days. I have to admit the lack of sleep and constant ups and downs took me to the end of the road and I thought about doing something I don't want to mention. I read about Lyrica helping but I didn't really think it would because I take grams of gabapentin every day. But before doing something drastic I decided to give it a try. I had to spend almost two hundred dollars to just get a partial of my script. I took 900mg. For the first hour I just felt like I was on gabapentin. The second hour all of the sudden I I feel like I never took an adderall before! If you could imagine how horrible my life was until I took this its a freaking miracle. It's a bit much, I'm hallucinating and I very much have that gabapentin feel in me. But my god what a a drastic change. I have been through methadone withdrawal, benzo withdrawal, heroin withdrawal, but nothing was bad as what amphetamine put me through. No sleep, and after while I just felt like I was stuck in a constant amphetamine crash no matter what I did. How amazing of a drug that it could actually save my life. No amount of benzos could do this.
Has anyone been through this before? What happens when it wears off? Am I going to feel the adderall crash again? I don't feel like I am.
The hallucinations are weird. Very visual especially close eyed. I'm going to force myself to stop writing now because I realize it's too much. I'm sorry but I can't help it.
Ty Lyrica

an hour later.... Im still greatful that this helped me so miuch but now I just kind of feel like IM on a shit ton of neurontin. Where do I go from here? Will alcohol change it? I need more of a nodding feeling. Im too neurontinish. I feel like my blood is made out of plastic or something. Have that gabapentin taste in my mouth. I have a whole lot of neurontin left, will that substitue for lyrica when it comes to withdrawling from it or is it not cross tolerant?

Im sorry to add this but its important. Im prescribed lyrica for intense pain in the cervical region of my neck and kyphosis. The lyrica right now is making the pain inflame really bad. Has this happened to anyone else? my god its painful.

first off I have been on both of these drugs on and off for many years (well gaba much longer, since lyrica is somewhat new), I have epilepsy I can tell you everything I wrote is as true as it gets. It does take two weeks for gaba to reach its FULL effect. Talk to neurologists and epileptologists as both these drugs were developed for epilepsy first. I will not jump into this ridiculous conversation any further. If you want to believe that gaba is dangerous and half the other crap I have read on this post go right ahead. Shit ask a neurologist. don't take my word for it.

Are you okay? I am just seeing this and going to sleep… Feel free to write me anytime. Do you have any valium or seroquel? Those have helped me reduce hallucinations, bring me down, ground me etc …. although I am not sure of mixing them with amphs/lyrica. :)

(btw, i've had microdiscectomies multi level cervical and although i prefer lyrica for feeling … gabapentin helps more directly. Sometimes Lyrica makes my neck worse) :\

Wow, did a difference of opinion strike a nerve to such a degree that you would pick up your ball and go home? Just google gabapentin withdrawals. There are more people on this drug than just you and drugs affect different people differently. So you can deny that gabapentin and lyrica can cause withdrawals, but that don't make it true. Sorry 'bout that.

You must be feeling sleep after taking the lyrica (depending on when you took it) Listen, lyrica is a pretty safe drug as far as things go, so dont worry, you'll be okay to go to sleep. In fact its a great for a upper come down. Just relax, have some hot milk and try to sleep. I promise you will be okay.

if you have troube withdrawing from these two drugs, then lord help you if you ever get a opiate habbit.

Thank you so much for the reply. I was afraid to sleep last night because I didnt want to crash and sleep for 3 days straight or something like that or maybe not wake up, I was just concerned because I was pretty much having amphetamine psychosis, but the lyrica really got rid of all of that bs and I was fighting sleep. But I fell asleep for like 3 hours then my phone rang and woke me up and I had a severe severe headache. Concerned that it was a really bad migraine, I stupidly took some adderall for its vasoconstrive affects. I really should have just stopped when I was ahead because the lyrica saved my life from the hell of amphetamine use hardcore and no sleep for 14 days. But now the headache is so bad, Ive had bad headaches most of my life but this one is different. Its reallly extreme on the right side of my skull.. It feels almost like my brain is pushing against my skull. I almost want to poke a hole in it to relief the pressure its so bad. So once again IM turning to you guys for a piece of advcie. Im worried its either Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome or maybe hypotensive crisis. I need someone with knowledge of propranolol and possible its interactions with adderall to give me some advice. Is propranolol a vasoconstrictor or vasodiolator? This is very important for me to know because I believe the headache can be reversed my a beta blocker because it lowers blood pressure but if I screw up and its a constrictor then I might end up in some serious trouble. Like usual, Im in no condition to be at the hospital, Ill end up locked in the psych ward for abusing drugs or maybe even prision and Ill lose all of my prescriptions.
I also still have lyrica left, which I was kind of saving for another adderall emergency, but if that can relieve this headache Ill take it. Or is that maybe what can cause a headache like this to begin with? Im sorry for all of these panicing messages but I love bluelight and I trust some of you guys more than I do doctors.
As far as edgewise1 are you refering to me? I cant really figure out who your talking to. Im not saying that lyrica and adderall arent addictive. I know that they are. Ive been taking gabapentin for years and more than one time ive been through excruciating withdrawls. And to whoever was talking about your screwed if you ever have an opiod addiction, well Ive been through withdrawal from pretty much every opiate there is up to and including methadone. So I really cant figure out what your saying. But anyways someone please respond because I dont want to call 911.

Is lyrica something euphoric compared to benzodiazepines? The only GABA drugs I found euphoric was Etizolam and GBL (really intense euphoria) . Phenibut caused a bit of it too, it seems that drugs that work on GABA-B cause more euphoric than the GABA A.

I recently tried Miltown/Equanil/Meprobamate almost the same as Soma (which I never tried) because many said it would be the closed actually to qualuudes what you can still get, but there was nothing special about it at 800mg (2 pills)

Is Lyrica comparable to GBL in terms of Moodlift/Euphoria

No greenbic, nothing intended for you. Just going back and forth with hoopy. Btw, headaches are one of the top side effects when starting out on Lyrica. Have you been taking it very long? If the pain continues, even though you don't want to do it, you really need to go to an er, or maybe an urgent care facility.

Oh, I know that feeling. Once I crashed for 2-3 days ... from amphetamines. I woke up and went to a funeral and was a day late. The wrong day. Terrified the hell out of me.
Glad you are awake today and posting. I took propranolol during acute hyperthyroidism. I have a bottle at home. I'll look at it and see if I can get some info. It messed with my heart it seemed, but looking back... my heart was racing from hyperthyroid and it actually may have been slowing my heart down. I know it helps with anxiety so I wouldn't think it would hurt. But, I would call an advise nurse. :)
