Looking for good documentaries/realistic movies on drug culture(preferably heroin)
Hi, first post so don't kill me if I make any mistakes
.
For a while now I've been very fascinated in the cultural environment drug addicsts live in. Stumbled upon this forum once and read a ton of threads, which is what sparked my intrest.
I'm deff not thinking about starting using (nor do I want to pass any form of judgement on people who do), so nobody should be worried about the reason for this intrest, it's just fascination.
I'm mostly interested in the heroin culture, since it seems to be the drug that creates the most isolated and different environments amongst its users compared to the "everyday world".
Since I feel like it would be pretty unethical to ask these type of questions on places you can come in contact with users/addcits(like this website), I was hoping to find some good documentaries or realistic movies portraying these cultures.
I've seen the Drug Movies thread, but imo my request is very different and warrants its own thread. As thread mentions preferably about heroin, but please mention anything good you know, regardless which it is about.
Stuff I've seen so far:
Documentaries
-Black Tar Heroin (by HBO)
-Louis Theraux' his documentary on meth
Realistic movies/series
-The Corner
-(grabs flame shield) Requiem for a Dream, don't want to claim this is realistic because I simply have limited knowledge on the drug world, just want to throw it out there realistic movies with these types of set up are also OK
