Texas Deputy Killed in Dawn No-Knock Drug Raid

^ sometimes when im alone at night, i put on some witch house really loud and start writing out 666 in OG kush, then get out a flame thrower and torch that shit good and start hyperventilating, its kind of my main ritual of worship, does that make me a bad person??

would you kill your dog for running into your house without barking first? if you can treat animals you love with respect, at least treat ignorant humans lives with some respect...

No-knock raids end in fatalities at high enough rates that they should ONLY be used in life-or-death situations.

I really hope that this guy is found not guilty, and an objective jury would certainly reach that verdict. The guy only had a bit of pot; there is no way in hell he would have shot if he knew that he was being raided by police. In the real world, though, he will almost certainly be found guilty by jurors with biases against people like him. Best of luck... :\
 
The cops acted as criminals, and the deputy died because he was a criminal in the eyes of this guy. How can he possibly be charged with capital murder? The most I can see in a sane deicision is manslaughter however he shouldn't be charged with a crime at all besides marijuana possession (another unjust law)

So this guy, drug grower and cop killer? He's a good guy.
 
Yea from the title i thought the cops did a no knock warrent on a dep sherrif. That would have changed some things im sure, but as long as its joe shmoe civilian who gives a fuck. Everyone knows the cops are better than everyone and can do whatever they want.
 
Even in a no-knock raid the police will announce themselves before entering. They will then give a few seconds for the person or people inside to digest the information...but not enough time to destroy any evidence. No you cant flush marijuana, but there are plenty of other aspects of evidence that can be destroyed and usually in these raids the police arent only looking for marijuana....almost always other drugs are present, as are other illegal things like weapons, money, etc. The police do not just break a door down without announcing themselves, that would be asking to get shot. 99.9% of the time, its during those important few seconds after the police announce they are about to enter the home that the person or people inside decide that they are either going to reach for a weapon and be idiots, or curse themselves for their bad luck and brace themselves for an uncomfortable evening...

Do cops articulate things to stretch the truth and sometimes flat out lie... sure. Do some of them act like complete jack asses... sure. Does that make this mans life any less valuable to his family and friends... of course not. Its a tragedy regardless, and that is mainly due to the DEA being an overzealous instrumement of terror and misinformation.... the DEA needs to be completely destroyed and put together again in a completely different manner.
 
Not only do cops sometimes not clearly announce themselves, but the first thing a lot of people hear is grenades exploding in their living room. Also, it's a moot point if you're in the shower or wearing headphones.

They must stop prosecuting drug crimes. Today, they must stop today. It is the right thing to do.
 
I feel bad for the cop, and the homeowner for what happened/ will happen to each, respectively. But it was honestly a situation that arised from am over zealous cop, unjust cops, possible over reaction of the homeowner, and the fact that he was doing a no knock raid on a guy who was growing a few fuxking plants and knew that he had guns ( whether presumed illegal or not, why would anyone assume they wouldn't be used?) but for fuxking weed like... Was it worth a life. Or two if the homeowner is executed.

ahh.. maybe you have some sort of issues with your septic system or possibly some sort of physical disability, but i assure you weed will flush as easily as anything like a goldfish to a couple rocks.

Yeah, it makes sense does it ? I'm usually in favor of our gun related laws in Canada. But you just can't kill somebody breaking in and asking you for money. Cops will turn against you asking why you had a loaded shotgun (most common firearm in canada, .12, .410, .22) ready to use not in it's locked non-descript armory and how you managed to get it out of there without the intruder coming in.

You can definitely defend yourself but shooting for the head might give you problems, while not if you shoot in the knees. It's the same if you kill somebody with a baseball bat, you don't need to hit a person 15 times to the head with a baseball bat to incapacitate them, if you knocked the person down with it and dialed 911 right away you're in the clear. If you hit the person 15 times on the head and there's pieces of cranium and blood around the scene...you're in deeper shit than you could imagine.
 
what do they expect issuing a "no knock" warrant? this kind of thing is just bound to happen.

A friend of mine in Arlington, Tx just got 2 life sentences after he fired three rounds in the ceiling after the cops kicked his door with a no knock warrant. He had been robbed and beaten in his home like a month earlier and he thought they were coming back. The cops opened fire on him and his pregnant girlfriend they ran into the garage he dropped his pistol ran out the garage and they shot him in the leg. None of the officers were hit. However they did find like 800 grams of meth, 16 firearms, pound or two of bud, and a gallon or two of water(GHB)

Yep. This is almost exactly what I said a page back. It's as simple as this dude choosing to do the no knock and he payed for it. But it is still fucked and now the homeowner may lose his life for it. Such useless loss of life.

They aren't the enemy. The people in power are the enemy.

Police are just confused and mis informed individuals following orders. Most of them probably have no idea how immoral they really are.

Regardless, he was doing his job and it cost him his life. I can't believe some of the responses in this thread.

I will always respect our LEO. They are doing their job, it's not like they decided to begin the war on drugs.
 
The only reason to do a no knock warrant is to preserve evidence. Way to many people dying in the drug war.. I wont shed a bigger tear for a LOE than anyone else. If we think about it for real we could cry all day.
