I don't think he was "hating" so much as drawing a contrast between devout Muslims and the typical western, weekender-Christian. If the country isn't very inviting of their customs then it is less likely they will wish to immigrate. I mean its not like if a Swiss person goes to Iran they'll be welcomed and have everyone be super enthusiastic about their progressive, western ideals. Does that make it right? No, but before we are so quick to call one group out for their cultural apprehensions we should take a look around us.
