Straight men who check out other men

^ you guys better watch out.. i've done two stair stepping classes, one spinning, and signed up for my first crossfit class.. and am really making plans to walk around the block :!

Foreigner, are you sure these guys are straight? Are you sure they are checking you out:).. also i've seen your pick and you're a good looking guy, so if you have good style and a good way of carrying yourself couldn't they just be sorta admiring you.. IDK.. i'm straight and for some reason a lot of homosexual men find me attractive.. I have had an openly gay uncle for as long as i can remember, and a cousin just "came out of the closet.." pretty sure i knew he was gay before he did.. so i am completely at ease around gay men.. but it was a problem at a couple jobs, and a benefit at a couple gay bars.. not to many good reasons to pass up free drinks.. so anyway kinda rambling.. Have you ever watched strait women check out the hottest woman in the room8o.. though this may have to do more with competition.. But maybe attractive people are just attractive.
 
Years ago I went to Nepal to, among other things, do volunteer work in a rural village. Very few people in the region lifted weights or knew anyone who did. One early evening I was “showering” at a pump and I heard my host brother say through a broad smile “Yes! Yes! I like this VERY much! I like this … physique!” as he made a wide-eyed opened-armed exclamatory gesture at my glistening near-nude body.

I had to resist the urge to laugh and struggled to just appreciate the compliment. If he was a Westerner in a Western country his demeanor would likely be perceived as gushingly sycophantic and bordering on sexual suggestion, maybe even creepy. But, at least in this part of Nepal, the culture was very open and loving, not suspicious or judging at all, and my sort of physique was indeed a relative rarity. There, entirely heterosexual men thought nothing of expressing aesthetic delight for the same sex, nor did they feel the need to awkwardly veil their attempts to check dudes out.

Now, I’m not saying you’re suspicious or overly guarded, but if you have some sort of striking feature or features or you comport yourself with a highly self-assured air, as many in this thread have already suggested you may, then this appraisal of Michelangelo’s David may help you understand, in an idealized sense, something of your comparatively small and perplexed circumstances:

Though I am a tried and true heterosexual, I must admit that when I look at Brad Pit’s body in Fight Club I can recall no comparison in beauty among women in form or proportion (the greater elaboration of the female shape means any deviation from an ideal is necessarily more magnified than in the simpler shape of the male’s). It’s not a sexual attraction to Mr. Pitt so much as a feeling that at least one thing is very right with the world when I see his body -- the torso of a living David. I am straight and I check out other dudes but only when I see they are muscular. It's not a sexual thing whatsoever, it's just motivation for myself at the gym. like my mental process "this dude has pretty cut looking calves, I need to do more calf raises".

Brad Pitt from troy beats fight club brad pitt!!! The only time I check a man out is if he's big. I can appreciate a beef cake who works hard to keep his body in shape because that's my goal. My gf till this day still asks me if im gay and we've been together for over two years. biggest man crush, the rock.
 
I have a staring problem. People just look interesting, and I love to observe their quirks

I stare at men and women, old and young, ugly and attractive, unnecessarily and I can't help it, it's just a habit and it has nothing to do with sexuality, unless I happen to see a particularly good looking girl

Maybe that's it, people look at each other just to look

^^ I can relate I look at people both genders "just to look". I try not to stare because that often makes people uncomfortable and might get the wrong impression of why your "staring" so hard. I just take a quick glance and keep on walking.

Its only human to look at other humans, unless your blind.
 
i used to co manage a gym, saw it all the time straight dudes and gay dudes alike. mostly sizing each other up, high test, checking out the amount of reps or weight and just overall physique like damn i want my this to look like that whatever.

there were some weirdos tho who really made extended eye contact with me and other ppl. my gf at the time was a member taught pilates and was practically always in there too and everyone knew she was my gf, so it wasnt like i was a gay magnet. but happened to find a stack of porn mags in the mens locker room and there were quite a few gay ones. then i found out ppl were using craigslist to set up casual encounters in our steam room and sauna. i kept that one reeealy quiet bc i didnt want members to be freaked. but this one dude would walk around half cocked in the locker room and id get complaints about that and also him rubbing his dong in the steam room. i think he was the craigslister. i started calling him the steamroom bandit lol. never did find out for sure who was making the CL posts but there were multiple ppl.
 
Thanks everyone for your replies, this has been useful. Most of my male friends are gay so in their fantasy worlds all guys who check them out are doing so because of repressed gayness, but I don't see it that way. That would be like saying everyone woman I look at is because of repressed straightness, which is not true at all.

I mean I sincerely would like to be bisexual, because ... well why wouldn't anybody? But despite my best mental efforts I'm straight. That said, Brad Pitts' whole body points to his cock and it's glorious.
 
Yea our steamroom was like a rainforest plus we had a eucalyptis extract feature put in, when id have to go in the mens locker room id stand over the mixture thing and one big sniff would clear my sinuses. Must have been crazy with it on in the actual steamroom. I NEVER went in there if i could help it except when the club was closed and it was off, had to show the cleaning guys what to get. I couldnt, and didnt want to know what went on in there. One of my employees at the time found a condom wrapper on the floor and there sure as fuck no chicks in there evar lol. Steam room bandit struck again.
 
I'm bi but I can answer your question u see guys check other guys out for a couple reasons
1st and most common- man that guy looks weird
2nd-I wish my parts were that big
3rd- hormones r zipping around and they find away to make u go hmmmm he's sexy for a moment or 2
4th- they may not be straight
Last- they r just being guys and lookin at each other kinda like a 1ns but a one second stand instead of a whole day
