The Name of the Game by Bryan Ferry is a great song about addiction (cocaine I believe, he had a big coke addiction after Jerry Hall left him. At least that's what I think the song is about.)

Akira Yamaoka's Silent Hill compositions definitely.

Damn, forgot to mention Roxy Music's No Stange Delight.

Apparently, the song is about the drug addiction of the previous drummer in BRMC. The other members tried to help him but he left the band, eventually. "Tattoo" doesn't mean ink, but is slang for a drum beat. A devil's tattoo is when you've done something bad/are about to do something about and are anxious about the consequences, whilst you're nervously tapping a surface with your fingers.
