I MAY have smoking some weed that was laced with something. I dont know what. But all I know is, ive been clean from weed for 7 months and I have constant chest pain, sinus congestion in mornings, and the pain is worse when i lie down. it feels like my chest is raw, sore and i have shooting pains in it. It kinda feels like its been scraped with glass or something. Ive had all kinda tests done and everything comes back fine.

has anyone heard or been in this situation? whats the remedy? Is it possible that the laced weed tainted my blood stream with some garbage? is it possible the weed was laced with something so fine and minute that things like chest x rays and stuff wont pick it up?

any info / help would be appreciated.
and yes i know this is move likely uncommon but the dudes i got the weed from, they are highly suspect and had a motive to do some shit like this.

2006 i first heard of it in london. the stuff is a fine silicone/sand that is sprayed or tumbled into the weed.

the effects of this?

it is easy to spot, the bud is covered with trichomes, suspiciously perfect. put it in your mouth and they are revealed to be bits of grit. this is done to add weight. i fell out with SWIM, a 30 year relationship for £30

I have done a basic analysis on the contaminants of 3 batches of bud from SW, SE and London- I have also seen similar samples from many, many sources, starting at the end of february 2006.

1: Under microscope at 50x magnification, contaminants appear as very small (50-120 um) beads, with regular circular shape and small pores/ single holes present.

2: Beads do not dissolve in non polar solvents (pet ether) or polar solvents (ethanol, acetone).

3: Beads are insoluble in conc NaOH solution, conc H2SO4.

4: Melting point is above 400C, but cannot perform TG, DTG analysis at the moment so cannot specify any transition temperatures or accurate melting points.

5: The beads have a significant sodium and silicon content, suggesting that the comments previously about silicates are correct.

6: Smoking this has resulted in mouth ulcers and sore throats/ chesty coughs which never occur when smoking normally due to the good health and only occasional cannabis use of the subject.

7: Reliable sources say that this contaminant is industrial etchant spray used for glass frosting, It is a high pressure aerosol of propellant, lubricant and silicate abrasives. This accounts for the high permeation levels displayed in all 3 samples, with particulates presents inside even 'tight' buds all the way into the stems. This also may account for the non plany oils present in the bud which have been previously described as a 'glue'

8: The same sources (and other independent sources) have corroborated the same story of the origin of this contamination. The main suppliers are from 2 major cities to the north of wales and are gangs from these two cities. Most people will guess where I mean as the post 'drought' supplies are mainly concentrated around these cities.

9: Obviously a further qualitative analysis is needed and I may be able to perform MS, IR, NMR and thermal methods on the samples, in particular the oil 'glue' and the gritty particulates.

10: DO NOT SMOKE THIS, IT MAY POSE A SIGNIFICANT HEALTH HAZARD AND WE MAY SEE A DRUG TAKING COMMUNITY CRISIS ON A LARGER SCALE THAN THE MPTP CRISIS OF THE EARLY 80'S.

BUYERS: PLEASE RECONSIDER BEFORE BUYING ANY MORE OF THIS, AND CONSIDER THE DAMAGE YOU MAY BE CAUSING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.

thanks for the reply,. damn !! im from toronto canada. the weed i got looked SUPER high grade was COVERED in white crystals and when i smoked it, i only took 4 hits and it had a very sharp chemical like odour. Ive already smoked this,. I dont have any of it left which sucks.
What do i do now? ive gone for so many chest xrays and even a catscan of my chest and it comes back fine. when i tell dr's i think its from tainted weed they dont believe me and say im just thinking too much. what can i do, what other tests can be done?
 
grit weed is mainly an european/uk thing i believe, how much did you have? the average deal of 7g or so of gritweed shouldn't have had that dramatic an effect.

you could try and get some more to take a better look at it?

What makes you think it was the smoking weed that gave you the chest pain? How long did you smoke for before the pain started? Do you mean you had 4 hits and there was instant pain that never left? and then you smoked the rest of the bag? do you smoke cigarettes?

i'm sorry there's so many variables here i find it hard to offer any real advice.

I get a tight/sore chest when I smoke bongs or cigarettes these days. But if I just stick to my vaporizer it takes about a week or two for my chest to return to 'normal'.

Frankly i'd be thinking of other factors: specifically allergies to things like mould or dust mites. I've suffered nasty sinus pain for the last year or two which was misdiagnosed by the GP as a 'nasal polyp'. On visiting the ear, nose & throat specialist a simple blood test revealed it to be severe dust mite allergy. I would never have thought to put the symptoms down to allergy.
 
re reading your opening post, has it been 7 months since you smoked the offending weed?
 
It's the time of year for head and chest complaints and it takes 12 months for the health of a smoker to recover to that of a non-smoker.

During that time you will cough shit up, wheeze and so on.

I read your post but I would wager that you are just being a little paranoid about what you "might" have inhaled along with your bud. Hopefully I am right as I'm sure you agree;)

If not - well then I don't know what happens. Best wait on those x-rays. Good luck.
 
Sounds like asbestosis, got you some yummy mag laced bud.

Fiberglass is fibrous and can cause similar respiratory issues.8o8o
 
i smoked about 6-7 grams worth and it was a long time ago (8 months) but i still have chest pain symptoms now, i have had numerous chest xrays and the dr always says my lungs are fine and they sound fine too. when i tell them i think i smoked some tainted weed they tell me im wrong or that i didnt or that the symptoms would only last a few days to a week at most.

all i know is ive been cig and weed free for about 8 months and im still having this chest pain.
 
you may have suffered a chemical burn from some harsh shit in the herb. i've had that problem and it really fucked with my lungs for a bit. my x-rays came back normal too. i pretty much couldn't smoke for a year and during that period i'd have random pains in my chest at times and would often cough up phlegm. that's about when i got into vaping and at the start i'd still cough up phlegm with vape crap in it.

last winter, i couldn't even breathe outside if it was cold out without taking anti-inflammatory inhalants. anyway, having the inhalant steroids for a while did help but i didn't even finish off the doses. i'm fine now and back to taking deep vape hits and also smoke on occasion and enjoy it like i used to but it did really concern me a lot for the longest time. hopefully this reassures you if you're going to suffer with it for a long time, just take good care of your lungs and they'll eventually heal up even if it does take a while.

ps. eat onions as much as possible. raw, caramelized, glazed, however the fuck you want em in whatever you eat just EAT them. they're the best for your lungs and i feel that i owe my speedy recovery to their power.

really? how strange. i have never heard that. but i sanded a load of floorboards and had a real bad chest after doing it and i've been eating about 5 spring onions a day plus onion relishes on everything, plus onions in my food, and i have been wondering why.

and my chest is better.
 
If you're feeling chest pain and feeling "sick" I would get medical attention ASAP

then find who sold you this, and beat them with in an inch of there life

I've smoked weed that was sprayed with something.. tasted and smelled like straight chemicals! I NEVER went back to that dumb girl ever again.. she liked it..ha! I told her to find someone else.. till this day she never has! All I know is I tired.. I have also smoked weed laced with wet.. I knew it was wet from the way I felt. I was pretty much helpless but still moving.. I felt like I was walking through a swamp! I never wanted my weed laced!
 
hey im sorry to re-open this old thread but i just found something real damn strange.

about 12-13 months after this incident and being completely sober, i still find myself having daily nasal congestion and secretions. It often burns and sometimes there is blood. The mucous is always clear , its either thin like water or its watery/slimy but its always clear and colourless.

Today I blew my nose on a kleenex and left it on my table. The mucus dried on the kleenex and as i tilted my head down and moved it over a bit the light from the lamp shined on the kleenex and I was shocked to what I saw.

The kleenex, now totally dry, in the areas where I blew my nose and where the mucous came out,. are a ton of super tiny grain like particles that are glittering and shining like glass. Im trying not to freak out right now, but it looks like damn fiberglass or something.

I dont know if this is from the weed I smoked or from a fake E capsule i swallowed. I dont know if this is fiberglass, glass, silicone or what or if its glue or sumthing but damn is clear mucous when dry suppose to shine and glitter like that? i dont think so.
 
I'm going to go ahead and say there is little to no way that you would still have BS from the weed literally inside your nasal passages one year later.
 
ok then just explain to me why its all grainy and glittery and shining like that? what could that shit be? I do know the body creates mucous when there is a foreign substance that the body is trying to get rid of.

man if u could see the stuff you would understand what i mean.

I have no choice but to show a doc the kleenex.
 
take the kleenex with snot and rub it on some glass or plastic with something hard and if the plastic or glass scratches you might be fucked....
