EMD PsyTrance Discussion ver. Carn mates, get your doof on!

Does anyone know of not so well known artists that are similar to

Dapanji - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7CjRyGaZ1o

Hi-Fi - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B46tlBfdYV4

Eskimo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHjqLiSbT-A

Azax Syndrome - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rcEIwKqWVY

All my favorite tracks from them ^^^^ I know the bigger names, there is a handful too much to list, but it's just hard for me to find music that I truly enjoy that I haven't already heard.

I really dislike full on, goa, dark. I hate repetition, boring triple bass and cookie cutter tunes. It's really hard for me to find other artists with a similar sound to the ones I love.

I love cuts, offbeat bass, POWER, electro type bass, and just all around wild not your typical everyday full on crap I always hear. The sets that I use to perform I always seem to get compliments on my style and selection. It's always the same, they never hear anything close to what I have to throw down :)

Any help is appreciated, as I do get inspiration for my productions as well. I've been producing more, rather than trying to rely on other people's work to keep my DJing fresh. Many thanks!!!!

^you hate full on but you like azax syndrom and eskimo? I listened to the tracks you posted and they are full on tracks. Perhaps you just don't like full on morning psy or progressive psy.

Well first I must admit that I'm not too good with labeling genres.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwivNzjfihE - Eskimo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKjl840S3hc - Azax Syndrome/Bliss

These two are no way full on! I do not like Eskimo's old stuff, and I guess I really only enjoy a few tracks of his. Azax is full on I guess, but there is so much more involved, and more powerful than any other "full on" I've heard.

The fullon I speak of is like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glK1-I6K_5c&feature=related - This is not the perfect example but close enough.

I wish I could explain myself better. I am super picky with my music and there is a very distinct sound that I go for and I know there is very little of it out there. This is why I am looking for help if anyone were to possibly have the same tastes as me.

Another point I may add is that I enjoy all psy, (except for dark, like 150+:p) especially while I'm at an event. What I choose to listen to at home, dance to at an event, or perform in my sets are all completely different. Right now I am looking for the specific sound I need to hear to perform with and get inspiration from like minded producers :)

ok this one is pushing dark but there are lot of chops and cuts in this track. Some people who don't like dark but enjoy the edgier side of full on tend to like this track:

Orca - Wakey Wakey

I've heard the first three tracks, and artists, you posted before, but skimmed through them again for shits n giggles. If anything there is a pinch of my liking, but still no where close to my sound.

Ohhh lord, that Orca track makes me :!:X So boring :\

Thank you for trying to help, but it is of no use sadly. I've had no luck with anyone trying to send me material I like and it really sucks but I do not push away anyone that tries :p

lol...well I tried! Yeah, we definitely having different tastes for sure.

Did you look through the entire catalog of 3d vision? that might be a good start.

Look on the bright side, if you produce, just make tracks to your liking! :)

Once again, I'm not goof with names, or labels either. I've never heard of 3D Vision, though I just searched on google and see that Earworm is on there. lol Max is a good friend of mine :)

Thank you for the recommendation. I see a number of artists I know, but there are plenty I've never heard of. I will be sure to check them out. Many thanks :)

By the way....I'm on the myspace page that shows a bunch of artists with links. I don't know what you mean by the catalog though. Link me?

@juicyjay

all the tracks you have posted are fullon. and, lol, what you like is what i'd describe as bad fullon, and what you hate is what i'd describe as good fullon ;)
if that logic holds true, you might want to check out alien jesus, which are truly horrible. j/k

seriously, most recent fullon (from 2010) sounds like your examples. especially offbass in fullon was rarely heard before last year. so you might want to avoid any older fullon as the sound was softer, more flowing, melodic and "mysterious" back then. the only exception that springs to my mind right now is CPU. i'm not up to date with recent fullon releases, so i can't give you any recommendations here...

^^ I only just saw this dude! I will have to check them out when I get home this evening %)
