She was put to sleep a few months ago as it was painful to watch her struggle. At least she lived 19 wholesome years.

Aw, your post reminds me of my kitty. He also had to be put to sleep last October as he was incredibly ill and just wasting away. I really miss him being around (he was eighteen).

I also looked after a stray last year. I really wanted to keep her, but as my other cat was so ill I had to put him first. She was lovely. She'd sleep on my chest at night, then when she got too heavy I'd turn on my stomach and she'd sleep on my back.
