Neo-doves Part II

I just finished an order I had shipped from new zealand. They stated that the capsules where the same as the original sub coca, this is not true they were terrible. The powder was so fine that when I insufflated a line I would breath out of my mouth a cloud of powder wich means It was going straight into my lungs. The color was white while the originals were brown and the taste was different (I liked the way the old ones tasted an smelled) and the effects were not as good but the insomnia depression and irregular heartbeat were there along with the shaky hands the next day----I guess I'm done unless I hear of another substitute for the cut to shit yay that is only available nowadays

pmjkerr

theyre being watched from every country by customs and you'll be lucky to get anything through and probably be charged.
all aus companies carrying meph dont have stock because its all being seized

if the powder is brown its time to frown.
if it has any strong smell i'd steer clear

The analysis report on page six has finally been updated, complete with new pictures. My apologies for the time it's taken to get this together.

The most interesting part is the discovery that the suspected 4- FMA was in fact 2-FMA. Has anyone had experience with this isomer, or both? Particularly interested in hearing how these differ pharmacologically.

Meh!!

Send it to 2008 when it mattered, Due to your actions nobody can say what 2-fma is like :(
you have BIGGER things to narc on now

Who would have thought back in the hive days.......... you had credibility :(

Lucky Albert Hofmann isn't trying to invent anything these days, you'd have him locked up

It matters now to ensure accurate and up to date information is provided. That's what the site is about, after all!!!!:\

Although some people might be pissed about losing a supplier for a potentially dangerous mix of chemicals, the results from these tests provided information about a substance that was being consumed of which the supplier continually lied about its contents. If you're happy to put unknown substances into your body under the false belief that someone driven by financial reward wouldn't do anything to hurt his customers, then so be it, but there are people out there who want, and deserve, to know what they're consuming.

FYI, confirmation of 2-FMA only occurred a few months ago. I updated when I found the time to prepare the diagrams and rewrite parts of the thread.

If you're implying these products were restricted due to that post, you're way out. It was the massive amounts being detected by customs that mostly did it. That coupled with the large 4-MMC +E-Cat bust in northern Qld really made authorities sit up and take notice, not to mention the rising number of busts for personal amounts of "Ecstasy" where they also turned up. Also that year - and every year since - those involved with EDRS and other user/market surveys, interviewed users that used these products, as well as key experts who gave an even bigger picture, so the information was there anyway - even if it wasn't published. Published or not though, this info can and does provide a useful insight on user trends to LE.

In regards to BL, attention was drawn to these products through posts here and elsewhere long before the analysis results were released. Neodoves were first discussed in Aus DD in mid March by starboy - someone actually involved in the legal high trade at the time. The initial analytical results were released one week short of NINE MONTHS LATER. That's nine months that LE could read all about the effects, the amounts, the place to get them etc etc. And something else you might not know. Other groups worldwide were also trying to work out what was in these. Besides the countless conversations I had with various groups and individuals, I actually received the MS data from one group...it was only due to the actions of concerned researchers and users that it was done here first.

Who would have thought back in the hive days.......... you had credibility

My credibility has never been the issue in relation to suppliers or manufacturers - never had it, never wanted it - and I challenge you to find any post here, the hive or elsewhere that says any different. If you don't know what I'm about by now then you probably never will, but just in case you've got one ounce of sense, my slant is not to have everything banned or have pursuers of commercial products locked up. It's about reducing harm to users. That's where I've put my energy for the past 11 years - doing outreach, helping those suffering excess consumption, bad reactions etc, and educating. To be proactive in this - and there's fuck all people who seem to "put their money where their mouth is" here - requires actively seeking out what's in what product and actually informing users and medical staff of what's out there. That equates to practical, effective Harm Reduction - and it certainly can make a difference in case of emergency.

I don't hear you complaining about Pillreports, or when Enlighten posted results of pill testing back in the day - which alerted users and likely affected sales to those manufacturing pills with ketamine and speed, and flogging them off as MDMA, and probably also enabled LE to more easily track them down due to things like distribution, locality etc. The things is, some people are concerned about what they put in their bodies, and they do want to know what the possible dangers are. Those are the people I'm here for, what about you?

In case you don't realise, Hofmann was never trying to invent a psychedelic drug of any sort when he stumbled upon LSD. I regard him as being an exceptional chemist in his day, particularly considering the ground breaking areas of chemistry he was working with at the time. He wasn't a charlatan, an entrepreneur or any sort of purveyor of drugs, so that statement is as ridiculous as your others

If you wish to twist the truth then that's up to you but don't expect me to take it lying down. As far as BL is concerned, I'd suggest you find another playground. This is a Harm Reduction site, so such comments only indicate your being here must be for some other reason, of which, for the moment we can only speculate

I for one am glad this info came out... thanks PD.

I was already in the process of banning myself from these shitty products and the extra info and reports from other users prevented me from doing any long-term damage, hopefully...

If I was to believe all of the forums where meph based products were sold I would have thought it was safe, had no side effects and was legal.... bollocks.

It's not just enthusiasts who are getting access to RC and the like these days, teenagers are using them too....

They are rarely mature enough to understand the potential risks, unresearched as they are, but many do spend a lot of time on forums.

P_D.....thanks for taking the time out to update the results. Its just a pity you have to take up (or waste) more of your valuable time justifying your credibility to the FEW.

I too agree, p_d's work has been invaluable to the BL cause. And also invaluable to everyone who had tried, considered trying, or steered clear of using these products.

Amen to all of the above. Anyone questioning p_d's motives seriously needs to take a step back and think about what they are saying.

He has done nothing but good for Australian's and the Australian (as well as global) HR movement.

SWIM hasnt tried neo-doves but LD doves were terrific! i wouldnt really recomend mixing unknown substance with psycs or anthing really, but SWIM droped a few LD doves, and sum mushies, he said he had the most colorful and euphoric trip eva.

Hi missmaddpsyentist, welcome to Bluelight. Just thought I'd mention that SWIM is regarded as a bit of dirty word around here, the considered interpretation being Someone who IS me
:)

Hi missmaddpsyentist, "LD Doves", do you mean LU (london und*******) Doves? And weren't they around several years ago... much like the neo******s products? Were they comfirmed to be mephedrone, methylone, or a piperazine mix? Forgive me if I'm a bit behind the times :)

I'd also like to second the sentiments above regarding phase_dancer; he's worthy of nothing but the utmost praise in the aussie harm reduction scene! =D

Thats it ! :) Well done p/d ! you know i love your work and this place wouldnt be the same without you !%)

repost from the better drugs forum from [Benga

on a more historical note, from what I gathered, the trend went from

- actually "herbal" product based legal highs (ephedra, sida cordifolia / citrus autarium + caffeine extracts), manufactured and sold in the Netherlands and UK smart shops.

-to the marketing of the first fake "herbal highs" containing piperazines and derivates ( initially identified as "pepper extracts") manufactured and sold mostly in New Zealand / Australia and then in the UK-

-alongside the occasional, rather rare incident of an actual Research Chemical marketed in Dutch headshops (methylone with "explosion", 2-CB, 2 CT7 with "blue mystic"...) quickly followed by a ban.
or the odd D.X.M. containing "legal high" incident.
as a side note, there have been similar developments in the non-stimulant / party pill products, with R.C. cannabinoids such as JWH-018 (in "Spice" and others) being traditional herbal cannabis alternatives (lion's tail, dagga blends), and one case of a kratom product (Krypton) turning out to be O-desmethyltramadol...

yet despite the new piperazine pills, the R.C. world was still well seperated from the commercially available "legal highs" party pills, sold as such in smart/headshops.

-then this new Israeli company came up, and pretty much singlehandedly opened the way by introducing cathinone derivatives and other RC's in commercially marketed legal highs.
RC's, real R.C.'s in pill form, some of them quite obscure / untested, most cathinone derivatives this coming after the hagigat trend in which had become quite popular in Israel, especially in the rave/clubbing world.

after a little suspense, the mystery ingredients were soon revealed following an analysis partly funded by a new-zealand piperazine pill vendor, and their leading product identified as mephedrone, 4-MMC. The pills were first sold from Israel directly, then banned in Israel, then quickly distributed by other outlets in the U.K. and Europe. A new line was created after the Israeli ban, but never got as popular as the mephedrone pills.

Mephedrone sales, however, actually expanded, stimulating Chinese production, first in the R.C. market across Europe, with new R.C. vendors popping, up, some almost exclusively focusing business on mephedrone / betaketone / novel stimulant sales.

these stores were increasingly crossing the boundary between "proper" R.C. outlets, which traditionnally also offered psychedelic R.C.'s and rare chemicals over to the legal high market, and the legal high / party pill world.
new hybrid shops appeared, in the U.K. and Ireland specifically, specialised in betaketone and stimulant R.C.'s, mephedrone, methylone and a few others.

Then new legal high mephedrone pill lines came out, sold by head/smart shops.
fueled by the headshop associated-legal high forum buzz, ear to mouth and either increasingly specialised R.C. outlet or legal high outlets sales, openly identified and packaged as such ( snuffs, pills rather than pured powder) ; mephedrone use expanded, and still is. It then started to hit the media, with an increasing buzz, and governmental attention.

Increasingly, alarming reports started coming in, with vasoconstriction and potentially mephedrone related deaths- yet such negative reports are actualy quite ancient, actually starting with the original israeli pill range.
More recently some of these outlets have remarketed their products as plant feeders / hormones for more "discretion".

The (Irish?) bathsalts represent the last evolution of this movement, with the possible introduction of another untested R.C., (as was mephedrone in the first place). This new R.C. is thought to be "local synth" rather than a import from China, and particularly potent, long lasting and inducing severe near psychotic episodes in quite a few users...
