He was the type of guy who loved prepping people's very first shot of dope. I'm pretty sure the moment I told him mainlining K without tolerance was a bad idea he made up his mind to do it in my apartment

I can't be asses with people trippin, so I pefer to inject in peace. Unless I'm with injectors, then I'll slam in peace as I take the needle.

Dude needs to grow some balls and learn himself. afterall, I enjoy injectuubf too much to have someone else do it. Not sure why thoese who don't like needles fuck around on this side. What's the "point" of taking this ROA if there isn't one? :p Why won't he learn to push it off? That is a major part for me, I enjoy administering and recording my shots.
Blood means the vein is nice and lubricated, therefore expanded as the needle is in it. Blood is what I like to see as I remove the needle from its nest. Seeing the blood come out before the tip is when I had it deep inside and the tip is puddled as it pops out. Nice nice nice! =D

OT: For me it depends on what type of person it was.
If the dude was all strung out/head fucked etc and i couldnt trust him/her to clean up properly and leave sharps lying around then, no, they cant shoot up around my home.
If it was a close friend and i could trust them, then yeah, dig away.lol
 
I know when I asked a couple non-IV using friends if they minded (back when I used IV), they said it wasn't that I was shooting up per se, it's that, like others have mentioned, they were afraid I was going to die. When you've been doing it a while it's very routine to you and your IV using friends - you know what's safe and not safe, you know your tolerance, you know how to not get an air bubble or do something else that's gonna hurt you, so if you're just doing a small shot, you know (Or feel like, anyway) its about as dangerous as puffing on a joint. But to people who've never done it or seen it done, all they can think about is Sid Vicious and Jim Belushi. They think every shot is like a 50/50 chance you're gonna die. It can harsh their mellow... which is why they don't want to have to see it.

This guy has been using longer than I have & he can't shoot himself up.
We were talking about it one day, and he said he was ashamed/ felt pathetic that he couldn't hit himself. lol
I reassured him that there are plenty of people out there who can't hit themselves so don't even worry about it.

But, boy.. is he missing out.
 
I'm rather surprised how chill my roomies are about my IV use. I'm pretty open about it and they only smoke weed.
My one roomie loves to watch me shoot up, lol.
My other one I can tell feels kinda awkward about being in the same room as me when im doing it but she doesnt say anything and her bf doesnt seem to mind either so meh.
 
considering i strictly do it in my own home. i couldnt care less who doesnt like it. quit crying about it and just turn around for 10 seconds while a get shit done.

Injecting isn't disgusting when done right; it is all up to how the individual perceives it, not as a whole. Injecting can be arousing and damn right enjoyable for some of us. If I thought injecting was disgusting I wouldn't enjoy it nor would I want to en"gauge" in it. (pun intended) 8) I wouldn't slam in front of non-IV users since they would be uneasy about it, and I don't need any tension as I'm about to sink it in to get my win. %)

Most definitely True Dat. To the un-initiated it can be a traumatic event. I personally witnessed a girl totally freak out and started ballin,etc. to the point of being inconsolable after realizing(not even seeing) that the other 3 of us were shooting our 'Orange Sunshine' acid along with eating it. None of us ever saw her again. The truth is that it is disgusting and I am always more comfortable doin it alone in the bathroom while the rest of em sit around the kitchen table getting off like they were eating breakfast. As far as doing it around straight friends it has to be an 'emergency' and in a locked bathroom. Like, Mind if I take a shit ?
 
This is a fckin great topic and something I feel strongly about, having been for the pro side of the argument but now against it. Finally a good topic in DC for once.

Back when I was a grimey junkie I didnt care who saw me shoot up and id get ANNOYED with people who didnt want to subject themselves to this repulsive lifestyle. I wanted to get high and who are you to stop me--even if this is YOUR apartment or car!!

Now that I have matured a bit (or so I like to think.. ;) ) and am on methadone, i rarely IV anymore. In fact, im embarassed by it. I used to wear my tracks w pride, do i do drugs? "Hell yea I do drugs and I love it!! You got a problem well screw you ya prude!!" was my motto. Now I am ashamed of it and hide my use from EVERYONE. Even my significant other of 3 years (well thats a whole nother can o worms).

I dont hang out w users, I believe you are the company you keep, so I try to hang around people on the straightened arrow these days. It was so hard for me to fathom why people wouldnt let me shoot in their house--god im embarassed thinking how hard headed i was back then.

Just shoot by yourselves. Even when people who say its ok really dont care for it.

Shooting up is never something that people who do not shoot up really like to see or understand.

I kinda see it as taking a shit when I was doing it. Go get some privacy.

If other people are shooting up and some are not, you are still risking being labeled and treated differently by your peers.

I remember saying the exact title of this thread to some friends and their reaction was to just watch a bit and then leave the room in disgust.

I personally would keep a thing like that to myself.
