would americans REALLY notice someone growing opium poppies, and report them?


I mean, in the UK they are legal, so it is a non-issue,
but most people wouldn't have a clue that those flowers were opium poppies.
that includes 90% of the people growing them.


In the summer, people have busted me harvesting poppies from their front gardens.
a lot of them didnt believe me that they were growing opium =P
but they were =]

to be honest i dont even know what they look like fresh so i wouldnt know...but ive had a flower box on the side of my house that gets over grow every year im thinking of just droppin some there.


any suggestions on when the best time to plant ?
