How can you tell this is Indica. Any specifics ?

Was just told that the plant is super skunk I got a looong looong time ago..

^^^^indicas are short and bushy with fat leaves, sativa is tall and branchy with thinner leaves...indica provides more of a couch lock high where as sativa is mostly a head high, good for socialising....you smoke the bud (the flower of the plant) it contains the most of the active chemicals. You can smoke the leaf but it can be quite harsh and not supply much of a high,so leaf is mainly used to make hash, hash oil,BHO and to cook with...If you look at the picture on the top right in the link I posted that is a flower/bud but a immature bud over time the bud with thicken up and those white hairs turn red

Good question. The seed banks claim that someone collected those seeds from Pakistan and Afghanistan some time in the past and they are landrace indica strains that have been kept pure. The afghani doesn't really exhibit the wide leaf traits but the effects fall into the body stone/ couch lock category. The Pakistani Kush has the wide leaf trait but the effects are more cerebral and dreamy.

Indicas usually look like that second picture with the fat cabbage leaves. The plant pictured is a hybrid but it's taken on more characteristics from the Pakistani line.

I fucked up guys. Didn't know how sensitive my plants would be to possasium sulphate, used too much. ended up burnign like 40% of all my plants leave off.

Have since flushed each of the 10 pots, after flushing added some fish emulsion in water weak strength and bout half a teaspoon more potash per 2 l hp spray (perhaps a mistake).

What killed the leaves were multiple teaspoons of 2 l hp spraying can(prob 4 or 5 teaspoons of potassium sulphate per 2l can done 2 or 3 times - phenomenal I know), they turned black then died, I put on my surgeons gloves and pruned the dead and dying leaves. A lot of the leaves left are curly, but the buds and flowers are still very healthy. (they're in the very early stages of budding).

Any-tips on restoring them back to full health. Will attach pics when I have time.

make that 75 % lleave loss on a lot of plants but buds and flowering/budding sections remaining unaffected completely, one of my biggest was completely unaffected at all by the ridiculous foliar feed of, pretty interesting. But one was stressed hermy and had to kill.
Such a fk up. Hope the ones I'm worries about pull through okay.

After.

Just flowers and prebuds left now practically any tips on still getting a decent harvest from the survivors, already had to cull 1 cos it turned hermy from the stress, and 2 are plants are just hanging in there no.

Sucks, a lot. Tips welcomed.

FEAST YOUR EYES!!

^ few more weeks to go. The smell is probably my favourite thing about the plant. Good luck with your harvest when it comes!

Don't play with potassium slphate if you used to growing organically. Do you research on proper amounts. Such a fk up. Will attach pics of survivors and good one/s.

Dude, that's horrible to hear about your girls. I can't see the pics, but it sounds like you fried them really good from nute burn.

The one plant you said that has been completely unaffected by the over fertilization is a silver lining in this tragedy? I would guess though if I had to that your PH levels were off as well for that one healthy plant and it didn't absorb the nutes because of either too high or too low of a PH. Next time you feed your girls new nutrients, not only make sure you have the correct quantity, but if you can get your hands on a cheap PH reader (there are re-usable one's that you can stick in soil or water that are dependable and not too expensive), it's worth your time.

As for the other not so fortunate ones, they need their leaves to do the photosynthesis stuff, so it's very bad for them to lose that many leaves. I hope they survive!

Synthetic nutes are a lot more technical and finicky, but it sounds like you have learned your mistakes and will be better prepared for your future plants' lives. Good luck!

Things are starting to put on weight. Need to try with a camera to get some trich shots

Thanks. Does suck hey. a lot of them matured very fast before dying so I got a nice harvest of some pretty tight premature buds, lots of hairs - high is enjoyable. And still got a healthy giant 7 foot beast of a lady starting budding now and well as a smaller one that's budding as well. So it could be worse I guess.

I think synthetic nutrients are easier to use, if you buy the right ones (specialist hydroponic nutrients like canna, vita link, etc) then it's an all in one thing (usually they're two part, a & b, different nutrients for grow & flower, but close enough), they have all the nutrients you need in the right proportions & they'll adjust the ph too. If you're buying meters then get a CF/EC meter too to check the strength of your feed & check the runoff to see how much the plants take (if the cf is higher in the runoff they need less food, if it's lower they need more). Ph should be somewhere between 5.5-6.5, around 6 seems ideal to me & it shouldn't fluctuate.

Right on. I'm glad you got some smoke out of those that had to go and you still have a couple left.

It's the difficult lessons like these that turn a good grower into an awesome one, though!
