Imagine if they had found a medical application for it back then, and it got to the pharmacies, and it created a recreational subculture in Germany. Would we have had a Third Reich?

MDMA was marketed as an appetite suppressant but didn't take off. Or perhaps that was the plan & THAT never took off. Either way, if the Third Reich had been fuelled by Ecstacy rather than Methamphetamine, it'd might've turned out just a wee bit different.
