I took out a $5,000 dollar loan over the weekend to bet on Alabama

I totally get them missing it because of the angle or whatever, but the fact remains that they did miss it. That was a huge play too...how many yards? Probably more than the Rams got at the end, since they were already in the red zone at that point iirc.

I'm not a fan of make up calls either but it is what it is I guess. I also can't deny that it starts to look fixed if you think about all the storylines that benefit the NFL.

Referee Ron Torbert was asked in a pool report afterward why a penalty wasn’t called.

“The crew did not see any contact that warranted pass interference,” Tolbert said. “It was a contested catch, and the crew didn’t see any contact that rose to the level of pass interference.”

Torbert said his crew also didn’t see a “grab and twist” that would have resulted in a facemask penalty.

“Our rule is that if there is a grab and twist and turn, there’s enough for a foul,” Torbert said. “If there’s just a rake across the facemask, where there’s not a twist and turn, even if there’s a grab, there is no foul. The officials did not see any contact that rose to the level of a foul for a 15-yard facemask.”



ya know what tho? they decided to let them play .... and the Rams had how many drives after it that went nowhere?

but then you call a phantom defensive holding penalty on the same play they missed a false start at a critical juncture in the game?

yea it is what it is - and it's fuckin bullshit and that's why the NFL is garbage

looked to me like casinos were gonna get crushed if the Bengals won outright - so instead they made it Rams win but don't cover - so they crushed it because of that


blatant bullshit if you ask me
 
I was left scratching my head after that facemask too. Damn, I’d like to think these are just perception errors. I could not figure out why a flag was not thrown. With all our video equipment it seems like any play can be viewed many times from many angles. So there really is no excuse for missing anything.

I wish Odell Beckham Jr. had been as mature when he played for the Giants. At least he wasn’t as bad as Jeremy Shockey. Ha ha

but the phantom defensive holding call on a perfectly defended play at a critical time on 3rd and goal was highway robbery at it's finest, and they need to fix that - somebody should be calling down from the booth saying "wait hold on"

that's what they do in hockey - they review a few things from Toronto to try to correct the errors

it's almost not worth watching and i probably wouldn't pay as close attentiion to everything if it wasn't for fantasy because i think the quality of the game overall isn't what it used to be

so fix that shit - that's all im sayin....




Now - onto my next future bet because i need to get over this shit....


2 bets that i like - I like Carolina at 11-1 to win the cup and i also like Calgary at 25-1 to win the cup....

you should now tho since football is over right? im like partially in and then im all in once the super bowl is over....im not a big basketball fan either

but yea i think the first 2 rounds in the NHL playoffs is the best thing going in all of sports.....i think playoff hockey is by far the best in show

I respect that. March madness is my thing. I'm really hyped about it this year since there was no fans last time and cancelled altogether the year before. I always do a bracket thread here so watch out for that.

Looks like Florida @ Canes tonight primetime so I'll be watching.
 
i'll fill out a bracket if we're all gonna do a pool

that's the only thing that gets me interested in the final 4, is if i fill out a bracket that year - that's always fun to do even when i don't care

i love upsets and you always get some in the brackets

but overall - im not much of a college sports fan


so are you paying attention now to college b-ball?

yeah I pay attention to it all year pretty much

UK got humbled by Tennessee the other night.

Illinois got crushed again, but what's new. Speaking of overrated teams, Gonzaga managed to escape the Fightin' Waves of Pepperdine. After a tough home game on Saturday against the Santa Clara Broncos, I expect they will remain the #1 seed on Monday.
 
so you're pretty much like me except i prioritize hockey instead of basketball....

last year was the first year i paid attention to the NBA playoffs in years....and it was pretty good im glad i tuned in....it was good to see a team like the Bucks win it all

you pay attantion to the NBA too?
 
Anyone heard from @OpiateKiller or should I expect the worst… He pissed me off but I feel for him still. Hope it isn’t what I think.
