Misc How safe are the darknets in Europe?

I don't know how risky buying stuff with bitcoin is - have any customers ever been busted for buying from a darknet vendor? I've seen vendors busted but never customers. Even after big darknet sites have been seized by the cops and they would theoretically have lots of peoples addresses - there's never been any mass arrests of customers. That suggests to me that it can't be done for some reason because I'm sure if the cops could terrify everyone by arresting customers then they certainly would.

I'm guessing it wouldn't be 'for ever' as the amount of storage all that data would require would be astronomical, but who knows?

Using encrypted messenger services and crypto currencies obviously helps,and does make things more difficult for lE, but there are alway 'back doors' built into these so called secure messengers, and I gather that bitcoins history casn be tracked, although from what I understand it's a time consuming and laborious process.

I don't think I'd ever get into electronic dealing/supply services/'middelman broker' for people struggling with DNMS etc, although I suppose if I ever fell on extreme and absolute desperate times for any reason, and with nothingto lose, that could change. As it could for anyone.

It's mainly just knowing that one court order could probably get all of my communications released by my ISP or VPN to LE is enough to put me off. I'm probably being honest to the point of naivety here, but I wouldn't really have any moral or conscience issues helping adults of sound mind and mental health acquire what they want, and it's not like I'm a callous money grabbing sociopath either.,.,,,. (To my mind the energy companies that installl pre-pay meters at more expensive rates in the poorest households, and other such despicable but legal actions are far greater wrongs in a moral sense). But that's a diffrent subject, and back on topic, I would double check if the customer is absolutely sure if they want to go ahead as I'd know I'd potenially be enabling an escalation in someone elses drug usage. But that's the other person's decision to take.

Obvioulsy selling to school kids, using various ploys to lure them in is another matter. I'm not sure how much of that actually happens though, it's probably largely some kind of myth or at least exaggeration peddled by the MSM about those evil drug dealers being scum of the earth and getting school kides hooked on hard drugs, by giving them away cheaply to start with, until the buyer develops a liking and keeps coming back for more/

Also there's those community groups that take it upon themselves to beat the shit out of known heroin dealers in their communities. It used to be groups like that the IRA were known for doing this kind of 'c omminity protection', but this kind of vigilante action has spread a lot further of late.

All in all, I don't think I'd recommend drug dealing as a good career path for anyone.

Drug dealers specfically targeting kids is nonsense. It's the sort of stuff the Daily Mail love to peddle, as it helps stand in the way or any meaningful drugs legislation and justifies the 'War on Drugs', along with draconian prison sentencee.
Yes I'm sure there are a few bad apples but I'm also sure that a high percentage of drug dealers are just normal people and have some morals.

In modern day no one accepts Bitcoin for DNM purchases. It's all Monero. Que that with VPN for the IP, Tails OS, and PGP for the addresses. It is definitely a challenge for LE. No single step makes things 100% safe but when the vendors are compounding multiple different steps like these to remain safe then I'm sure it has some effect. I see some teams on there who have been around since the original Silkroad under various names. So it must be working or they would in jail by now I'd have thought.

For LE in these scenarios the people who they will catch first will always be the low hanging fruit. IE the ones not using encryption properly to hide themselves.

I agree it isn't a wise career path either way. And the consequences/prices to pay for anyone who's caught doing such things will be high. More than it is worth.

There have been a few over the years, but mostly customers who were local resellers themselves trying to import things like cocaine or ecstasy from abroad.

I read one guy got a few years for importing only 20g of cocaine, but he had ordered it from South America.

I'd still say there's a pretty big difference in the likes of me ordering 2g of K for personal domestic, and someone who's ordering say 1000 pills from the Netherlands for resale; LE targets the big time buyers most of the time.

That is not to say if there's some sort of error like the package gets ripped open in transit, or the supplier is busted with your package there, that you won't have police at your door. I'm sure you know that better than most.
 
Just been smoking some Nepalese hash I got off there a while back. At the time my weed tolerance was so high I thought it was complete shit. Turns out it is actually some very nice hash 🙂
