HOW MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE WE ARE LIVING IN THE END TIMES OF THE HOLY BIBLE?

Disclaimer: I'm not Christian (or any denomination), and I don't trust the Bible either.

I believe the 'end times' is an attempt at self fulfilling prophecy, written by men who desire it. The whole concept has human thinking written all over it and it reminds me of a clickbait YouTube video caption more than anything. No omniscient entity would deliberately terrify its own creation on the promise of salvation, it makes absolutely no logical sense what so ever.

It stinks of the same mentality that pervades the RC Church, of sin, guilt, and fear. Look at the affect the concept has on people, it sends them absolutely loopy by either making them incredibly paranoid or obnoxiously proselytising to others (in turn sustaining the fear loop).

Pretty sure if Jesus were actually going to return, he would tell you to chill the fuck out and focus your energy on being a better loving person, and not wasting your time on this proto-Alex Jones doomsday nonsense.

Some other points:
  1. The Bible is written word i.e. it was transcribed by humans. Humans are fallible. I'm not trusting anything or anyone that purports to be the middleman for God. If God wants to speak, he can speak to me directly. He's got my number.
  2. I don't believe God speaks at all, I believe it's language is that of silence.
  3. I don't believe in time (or space). These are both human constructs. Can't have an end if there was no beginning. And we can choose to live righteously now, if we all want it enough. No middleman required, no waiting for certain requirements external or internal.
As one of my favourite human beings once said;
Nisargadatta Maharaj ❤️❤️❤️
One of my favourite humans also.

You know what I heard? I heard the second coming of Christ already happened, and evidently he’s a fellow bluelighter who has an extensive history with (low dose) meth use. 🤣😅😂😉

And you all are onto something with all the talk about the giant leap in technological advancements starting at the end of the 19th century (which conveniently came just after we went to study human evolution).

There’s a secret out there. A big one. A secret that involves the entire World along with all of Humankind’s progress over the past 130 years.

I believe the “End of Times” is going to involve that secret coming out (it’s already begun) and somewhat of a New World Order coming into fruition. Several other things are likely to happen as well but that’s for another discussion.

By all accounts the average human being is far better off than 100, or 500, or 2000 years ago.

Suffering is relative. It will never end. The human condition is no more to be happy than it is to suffer.

Suffering to a human is like night is to day.

i believe we are better off with all the technology that we currently have... like you tube is the most amazing thing to me... i couldn't imagine living on a farm back in whatever part of history. no forms of entertainment or anything other than nature. i believe we can experience a lot more now days... this could be the purpose of the universe to create planets with as much technology and art as we have.... living on a farm and just breeding with whatever girl is down the road seems kind of boring. i imagine the people were kind of weird back in days of only farming, not that they aren't now too.

honestly, if we get through all this nuclear bomb stuff, i could see people eventually getting a lot more progressive and peacful. i think there are going to be some big problems with over population though, which is a really depressing subject, so i don't really have too much more to say... i actually will say that this big problem with population could be the prediction of 2060, like social security collapsing and riots of something.i really hope the government has some secret stash of good drugs that they are waiting to unleash on the population to keep them at peace while there's a lot less food and resources for everyone to use, maybe they've been making acid for us at area 51 or something. i could live on a lot less food with that... i really don't think history is what we are tought though, like i've already said. this is just all an experiment to see how different people respond with the war on drugs and politics and what not.

If a group of humans were stranded on a desert island, they would naturally turn to communism to support themselves for the greater survival.

If humanity were to reach enlightenment, or some great technological advancement where every resources is plentiful, then they also reach toward communism... because there would be no reason to compete amongst ourselves.

but for some reason, with everything in between those two extremes, communism is controversial and humans would rather fight and kill each other for supremacy

maybe that is the essence of humanity.....

maybe human ego is the real Satan that Christianity speaks of ....

I thought we agreed you wouldn't tell anybody about MY RETURN.

And the Lord saith, he who shall showeth my wonderful works of beautiful titties and ass shall make me most pleased.

I am most pleased in you St. Krinkle.

For thou has showest the bounty that I have designed to be licked and sucked and eaten and fucked.

Thus saith the lord almighty.

“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows." Matthew 24:36
Nuff said. But I definitely feel like Saint Augustine while he was watching the fall of the Roman Empire, I think that the role of the US as the world super power- liberal democracy as we know it- etc will be replaced by...something else, dunno how or when

As a former president of yours once said "'Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell where they already7 have it" . As we are not angels nor demons, I think we should look for a more "human friendly" way of living ( definitely not the one we have at the moment, as bad as communism imho)

or they can create a violent feral society as in the Lord of the Flies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_the_Flies

Liberal democracy with all its flaws is the best thing we have been able to create so far, it took a long time to implement the thing and I am afraid that s crumbling anyway. Courtesy of many factors, such as social media, we are getting increasingly "tribalistic", and no democratic society can exit without some basic shared commitments...

Agreed.
But communism does not necessarily mean authoritarianism. Democratic Socialism is possible and is, IMHO, the ideal option.

even a libertarian like Hayek was in favor of some form of welfare state-social security net, so am I. My concern is that Marx´s was right, even if for the wrong reasons : the use of technology will make lots of people redundant, so we will have lots of unemployment and a minority of super exploited workers that accept any kind of BS cos they are afraid of loosing the few privileges that they have . A welfare state needs tax payers, to pay taxes u need working people but, see supra, there are no jobs hence.....I m glad of living in Brazil, because I think that sooner or later good old Europe is gonna explode. I hope it s just a coke fueled dystopia ....

By all accounts? I'm not so sure. Materially and technologically, absolutely. But it's like a domesticated dog.. which life is the better life; living longer as a pet, or living shorter with absolute freedom as a wild animal?
