On E-Dot folks say that certain mildly psychedelic plants (like Calamus and Nutmeg) can be vaporized for good effects if they're in their essential oil form. I wondered if anyone on here has heard about or tried vaporizing herbal essential oils. If it is in fact true that Calamus and Nutmeg essential oils can be vaporized effectively this would offer certain advantages to orally ingesting them.
For one thing if one is eating Calamus root or ground Nutmeg there is a certain degree of nausea and toxicity and unpleasantness. Eating Calamus can particularly cause horrible nausea sometimes and eating Nutmeg can be extremely toxic to the liver. I would think that vaporizing the essential oil forms of these drugs would be a lot safer and more attractive and offer faster, more intense effects.
This is my wishful thinking talking though and my cynical side says the people who claimed vaporizing these oils works are bullshitting or crazy. It just sounds too good to be true, as Nutmeg and Calamus essential oils are extremelyyy cheap online.
Lastly, what techniques would you guys recommend if I wanted to make my own vaporizer? I should use a lightbulb or something else?
