harmine and its similarity to serotonin

I tell you what I DO see = a distinct resemblance between Trancyclpromine (Parnate) and amphetamine! And Nardil above it... odd how those two are the only 'clinical' antidressants that work on my depression. Not very well unfortunately but better than nothing. The only reliable, safe and truly effective remedy is amphetamine and methamphetamine - which I am forced to self-medicate with, thanks to stupid, pointless UK medical rules. Rather unfair IMO for anyone so afflicted... am I the ONLY one?

9-Methyl-β-carboline (9-Me-BC) recently became available from nootropic suppliers. It's an endogenous β-carboline. Another thing relevant to this thread is that evidence suggests that harman and norharman are endogenous.

Can someone tell me how its MAO inhibition compares to harmine (the predominant β-carboline in B. caapi)?
