films: best sports movie? (last call for nominations for a poll)

Definitely "Bloodsport." I love that part where he gets a face full of white powder which blinds him but he still remembers the teachings of his trainer and still beats that horrendous looking Chinese mongrel. It was inspirational.

alright, gonna make a poll. any last nominations?

holy shit this is an old thread...i just noticed there's a post from my original acct that hasn't been active in like 4 years

I'm surprised Blue Chips gets only one mention in this thread. That was a damn good sports movie.

But the best is definitely Raging Bull. Not only is it a great sports movie, it is one of the greatest movie movies of all time.

Murder Ball: Most inspiring movie I've seen.
Raging Bull
Million Dollar Baby
The Champ
Brian's Song

Must be an American thing because watching Field of Dreams to me is like scrapping my eyes with a fork. And seriously Mighty Ducks????? You all should leave your continent for a little bit, I think you're going soft up stairs. ;)

Blue Crush is another cool surf movie (with added babe factor).

Does Waterboy scrap in? I fucking love the tackle scenes.=D

DOES NOT WORK. The Mighty Ducks was like 300x better than both of those movies you like and that's not saying a whole lot. Seriously? Waterboy?
