i'm kinda "eh" on this already. i'm sure i'll go see it with my 3 year old "just because" or at the very least will purchase it on DVD, but it's not very original. the CGI movie "robots" was similarly already done in 2005 by blue sky studios/20th century fox, so this just looks like the same/similar movie but different production company. i'm getting tired of the "same" movies or remakes of older flicks. it's like people are running out of ideas. :\
 
nah! robots was one of those crap films that relies on well-known voices to carry it.

this one barely has any dialogue. the robots rely entirely on body language, facial expressions, and bleeps & whirrs to tell the story, and apparently they do it brilliantly.

have you actually watched any of the trailers or heard any reviews yet? everyone loves it. :)

there's a guy here in the UK on BBC radio 1 (james king) who is notoriously difficult to please, and he rates it amongst his top 5 films of the past 5 years.

i'm tempted to take my niece & nephew to see it. as long as they sit still and STFU. ;)
 
i watched the first trailer on the list and didn't want to see the rest because the buffering was taking so long....i'm kinda impatient like that. :)

it's funny that i haven't seen any previews anywhere (not even in theatres or newer disney DVDs) since it's coming out in a few months.

i'm sorry, i didn't mean to come off as rude, i just think it's a story already done before. although the deal with no-dialogue is interesting... :)
 
i saw a preview for this in the theatre recently. while the story look sentimental and predictable, the amazing quality of the cgi blew me away.

i took my friend's 4yr old son, he loved it too. the whole ride home kept beeping like the robots.
 
my 5 year old has been talking like that damned robot for months. i didn't even know it was already out. i know a good little play date we can have soon :)

am i the only one who totally sees a knockoff of johnny 5 though? the creators should have come up with a more original design.

i thought it was a great movie. very funny but it's not all comedy like the trailers portray it, it's more of a love/romance story between the 2 robots (EVE & WALL-E) than anything. it's quite eye-opening as well. some of the stuff portrayed in the movie could very well be possible. my 3.5 y/o loved it although she had a hard time sitting still in the beginning (the lack of dialog made it quite uninteresting to her at first).

i would go see it again.
 
this is the first movie that has come to theaters in a good while that I really really want to go see. I'm very happy to see the generally glowing reviews!
 
yeah i caught the trailer the other day and was blown away by it. looking forward to this.
 
It was a pretty awesome movie great to take the kids to, just be sure to gag them afterwards or you'll be hearing "WALLLL EEEE" for days lol! A truly beautiful movie to watch. Pixar has yet again out done themselves visually. I just hope they don't run out of ideas, but hey they can always do the incredibles 2!

I FREKIN KNEW IT!!!! I knew it wouldn't be long before some rightest gas bag found something to gripe about this movie.
