i'm not sure which version i saw, but i remember reading a while ago that it had to be edited a lot before it could be released.

The unedited version hasn't been released yet. It is expected to come out on a 2-disc set around the time that the sequel is released in theatres.

There are bootleg copies of it floating around horror film conventions, and to a lesser extent, the internet.

I am assuming most of you all are from the United States, because here in AUstralia, despite posters advertising this film, it still hasn't been releases- is yet to get the green light from the classification fascists. I am fully hanging to see this film, looks like I might have to spend big money on an imported DVD.

I can't believe there's part 2 already

^^ I saw it months ago and I'm here in Australia. It's available in some stores that sell rare or imported DVD's. The copy I saw was puchased through amazon.

I stupidly posted a new thread on this movie, but I want to comment about it here, I thought the movie was very unentertaining. The fact they used the name Dr.Satan turned me off, couldnt they come up with a more sophisticated name more forieng perhaps and it needed more graffical details like seeing people actaully get carved up and brain matter getting blow out the back of the head something more than what he provided in the movie, but I will say the ring the bell future made me laugh a little.

first of all, i'm a huge rob zombie fan. i read about him working on this film years ago, and i was surprised when it actually came out. i was expecting your typical horror movie with more gore. this film was just fucked up. i really can't describe it any other way. the imagery, the ideas, the characters, everything was twisted. brilliant.

oh, and that chick was really hot. she can be as annoying as she would like, as far as i'm concerned.

My sentiments exactly, both about the movie and the chick. Especially her in the Betty Boop skit.. hawt..

ah yes, the betty boop skit. SO fuckin' hot.

I watched this movie today and enjoyed it. Horror movies like this (it reminded me a lot of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the original and the remake) are the ones I find most disturbing.

It's movies like this that make me realise just how fragile the human body is. And all the things that could be inflicted upon it given a few of the right ingredients:

* The average contents of a household garage.
* A lack of empathy for the suffering of your fellow human.
* The kind of mind that enjoys making people suffer.

I find that when I watch movies like this I go beyond the point of wanting the characters to escape and just want them to die. This is not because I dislike the characters, but it seems to be the only form of escape that does not involve horrible torture.

I don't know about anybody else but once it was clear that there was no escape for cops I was hoping they would be shot so I wouldn't have to watch them have pieces removed bit by bit.

To me it is the sign of a true horror movie, in that I want the characters to die quickly so they will escape starkly imaginable horrors. In crappy horror movies (ala scream, I know what you did last summer etc.) I want the characters to die because they are annoying as shit.

I really liked this movie.

I agree with a lot of other people, I wanted to kill that stupid blonde beeotch--her laugh was the most annoying thing EVER!!!!!!! OMG--It makes me want to scream thinking about it!

I heard there's a sequel coming out, anyone know if it's true???

yeah, they're filming the sequel now. on a recent episode of "uranium" on FUSE, julia interview rob zombie on the set of the sequel. it's being filmed in the same house. rob zombie said that despite taking place in the same house, the characters and set up will be completely different. we'll see. i have no idea what it will be called or when it is coming out though.

This movie was hilarious, I LOVED it. Not scary (which, for me, is a good thing as I'm a wreck when it comes to scary movies), but so SO cheesy. Fantastic.

I also like how creative Rob Zombie was with the deaths. I appreciated how thoughtful he was.
